Charming lakeside cottage less than 2 blocks from Edinboro Lake, and one block from the playground and boat ramp. Convenient to Edinboro University, 20 minutes from Erie and Presque Isle, Splash Lagoon, and 30 minutes from the Grove City outlets. Our home is a 1940's/50's era Sears kit home and was originally a fishing/hunting cabin. It's now appointed with all modern conveniences and a fenced backyard. Great destination for families or small groups looking to getaway near the shores of Edinboro Lake. Our home was originally a Sears kit home used as a fishing retreat. We have subsequently updated it and provided a lot of modern conveniences. We provide body wash, shampoo, dish soap, TP, paper towels, and coffee/tea for you and your guests to enjoy. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, and glasses. Additionally, we provide beds with fresh linens and clean bath towels for each guest. For those traveling with well behaved dogs, we also supply two dog bowls and a large gravity water bowl. New for summer 2020: The middle bedroom now has two new twin beds with new bed frames and memory foam gel mattresses, and the front bedroom has a new standard bed frame with a new memory foam gel mattress. The back bedroom bed was purchased new in 2019. It is also a memory foam gel mattress. All sheets and towels are 100% cotton and hypoallergenic. Guests will be provided a code for the smart Lock on the front door. We live about 6 hours away but we have a local caretaker. We encourage our guests to reach out to us with any issues or concerns. The lakeside community of Edinboro Lake is quaint, friendly, relaxing and fun. Our cottage is located just over a (small) block from the lake where there is a playground, small beach, fishing and boating. Edinboro Lake is great for fishing and boating, at about 245 acres. The main part of the town of Edinboro is less than a mile away with several restaurants, stores and Edinboro University. The surrounding lakeside community is extremely walkable and bikeable. There are lots of dogs around, and there is always someone to chat to and walk with. We are about 2 miles east of Interstate 79, about 20 minutes south of Erie and Presque Isle and about 20 minutes north of Meadville. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
