The Courtyard Room is part of our 16th Century popular Coaching Inn. This newly refurbished room has ground floor access, its own private wet room, a king size bed that can be split into a twin and a set of bunk beds, it’s own TV and tea and coffee making facilities. It separate to the main pub therefore it feels more private. Just 100 metres away from the popular “MERE” and very central for some picturesque walks with your families and dog companions. We serve award winning food 12-9 daily Myself Lois and my partner Simon are available at all times if you wanted to see us, however we have a team of the best front of house and housekeeping staff that may deal with your checking in and daily requirements. Our friendly Pub is situated in the heart of Ellesmere. Ellesmere is a popular town with visitors. We have the beautiful Mere less than 100 meters away which is one of the largest naturally created meres outside the Lake District. There is a park for the children and a leisurely 45 minute walk to the other side and back. We are surrounded by another 8 beautiful meres some of which you can walk to and back from here. We are a 5 minute walk away from The Shropshire Union Canal. There are plenty of facilities for boat hire, bike hire or fishing to make your stay here even more of an adventure. We have great transport connections to Shrewsbury, Chester and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.
