The Captain's House

Lovingly maintained 1850's farmhouse right on the harbor. The house sits on 4 1/2 acres right in the middle of the village, next door to 2 lobster pounds and The Anchor restaurant and a short walk down the winding paths of our 3 acre wildflower meadow to the Granite Hall store (and ice cream), Round Pond Coffee, and King Ro Market. We've added efficient heat-pump AC and heat. The summers do seem to be getting hotter and a cool bedroom at the end of a hot day has been a lovely addition. This is a cool old house in a great spot with a breathtaking view. The house is on 4 1/2 acres, 3 1/2 of which are a wildflower meadow under a conservation easement. The house is filled with cool old stuff but updated where it's important: comfortable beds, nice sheets, a well-stocked kitchen and AC. You will have the house, shoreline and meadow all to yourselves. We are available for questions, suggestions and help. Just in the center of Round Pond but tucked away down a driveway. Close by on the Pemaquid peninsula are beautiful walks, Pemaquid Beach, Pemaquid Point lighthouse with great rocks and crashing waves and many more restaurants. Damariscotta is 15 minutes away by car, Rockland is 45 min and Camden is an hour. Portland is 1 1/2 hours away and Boston is 3 hours. This elderly house and her plumbing are long past their partying days so no gatherings of more than 12 are allowed.
