Stunning Rural Farmhouse B&B - Twin Room
Shabby chic in a beautiful Dorset location. Stafford Farm is a pretty listed totally unspoilt but quirky Georgian farmhouse. We are very much a family home so you would be sharing your stay with us and our animals. This listing is for our twin room which can sleep up to 2. If you would like to book the Double Room in addition to this booking please do so through the separate listing. Our spacious twin room can sleep 2 max. The shared bathroom is huge with an antique bath and sink. Please note the toilet is downstairs with a sink for exclusive guest use. Double room to sleep up to 2 available under separate listing. We are ideally located in rural Dorset countryside only 10 minutes from Dorchester and 12 minutes from the stunning Jurassic coast making this an ideal place to explore our beautiful county. We are also in the heart of Hardy country. Max Gate (Thomas Hardy's home) is a short distance away, as is his birthplace, church and other landmarks mentioned in his novels. Dining Room and gardens. There is also a TV set in another room upstairs with Wii. There are games in the dining room and plenty of local literature to help you decide where to visit. We are available in the mornings and evenings. Dorchester is a thriving Dorset town. The newly refurbished Brewery Square area has many well known restaurants (Wagamama’s, Zizzi, Cotes Brasserie, Pizza Express, Carluccios). We are also close to Poundbury and Weymouth. There are two cinemas in Dorchester, museums, a theatre in Weymouth and numerous pubs. There are beautiful cycling routes, bridle and footpaths on our doorstep. The coast is stunning and a short drive away. From sandy Studland, to the closer and quieter shingle/sand beach at Ringstead Bay as well as the larger sandy and busier beaches at Weymouth and Bournemouth. There is also the fascinating stretch of Chesil Beach. Numerous locations nearby are frequently used for filming such as West Bay (Broadchurch), Sherborne and Mapperton (Far From The Madding Crowd) and of course we are right in the middle of Hardy country! There are local taxi companies, two stations in Dorchester and regular buses to take you to the coast at Weymouth and Bridport. There are routes to drive locally to avoid the inevitable summer traffic - please ask us if you are heading to a popular area. Please note the directions as we can be tricky to find. Please contact us if you have any specific requirements.
