The Farm at Clover Hill

The Farm at Clover Hill, circa 1781, is located about an hour from the DC Capital Beltway. This charming historic farmhouse has comfortable living spaces and newly renovated kitchen and baths. Located just minutes from Shenandoah Valley, Bowling Green and Blue Shadows golf courses, other local activities include hiking, biking, canoeing/tubing, breweries/wineries, museums, etc. Clover Hill is a beautiful peaceful setting to unwind and relax on a working Angus cattle and U-pick flower farm. Clover Hill is a renovated farmhouse located in the Rockland Rural Historic District just outside Front Royal, Virginia. The extensive restoration work preserved much of the original farmhouse charm while upgrading the kitchen and bathrooms with modern day conveniences. . Recent guests have described Clover Hill as "Warm, cozy, spacious and views so dreamy that you can't walk by a window without parting the curtains to take it in." The Farm is situated on rolling hills with Black Angus cattle grazing in the pastures and two sweet hens in a nearby coop. Clover Hill is home to a U-pick flower farm planted with thousands of tulips and daffodils along with many other varieties of flowers to ensure blooms from Spring to the end of Fall. Clover Hill is centrally located just 20 minutes from downtown Front Royal, Stephen City and Winchester. Clover Hill is a working cattle and U-pick flower farm. You will probably see us as we come to tend to the cattle or work in the flower beds located in the field across from the farmhouse. You are welcome to come chat with us as we tend to our chores. Clover Hill is located in the scenic Rockland Rural Historic District. The Shenandoah Valley Golf Club and Bowling Green Country Club clubhouses are both less than a mile from the farm. A Shenandoah River boat launch is just a few miles away. Clover Hill has rolling hills and pastureland along with scenic views of the Blue Ridge mountains. When you arrive at the farm, please park all cars in the parking area to the left at the top of the driveway. We ask that the circle drive around the house be kept clear at all times so we can access the farm outbuildings located behind the farmhouse. Entry to these outbuildings by guests is not allowed. We love dogs, but if you are planning to bring yours to the farm, please let us know in advance. In addition, you must be willing to agree and abide to the following rules: ~ All dogs must be kept on a leash (Warren County has a strict leash law) when outside and cleaned up after. ~ Dogs must be up-to-date on all shots and have had a recent flea/tick treatment. ~ Dogs are not allowed on the furniture (especially the beds/linens). ~ You are responsible for any damages or extra cleaning costs resulting from your dog.
