Located on the main street of Gawler - SA oldest town with beautiful heritage features Short hour drive to CBD & Airport A short walk to train station - regular trains to city (day & night, 7 days a week). *Unfortunately, only bus services at the mo Close to Barossa (巴罗萨葡萄酒庄) - 15 to 20min drive to beautiful wineries & country towns Supermarket just across the street Short walk to creek, parkland, recreation centre, asian grocer, cafes, restaurants, shops, library, gym, visitor centre, etc. This Airbnb is a self-contained unit with its own entrance, it has: a carpeted queenbed bedroom (fan) a carpeted living room (aircon) a carpeted reading room a fully equipped kitchen a shower room (gravity fed hotwater) a toilet a backyard Please note: 1. Private carpark is in the rear, size approximately 2. (Website hidden by Airbnb) (access via back street) - there are just a few big concrete stairs & a footpath between the private car park and the unit. 2. If you prefer street parking, the above-mentioned back street is an option. Also, there are public parking spots out the front (very close to the unit's front entrance, on Gawler main street). Some guests also parked their cars across the main street in the free shopping centre carpark during the day. We are 5 to 10 mins drive away - it's easy for us to come over and offer help if you need. Guests use lockbox for self check in. Alternatively, we will meet & greet you with keys if we are available upon your arrival. There is a check in guide (via a link) and it will be sent to you on your check in day via an Airbnb message. Some guests may prefer me me time without much interaction which is absolutely fine. Having said that, your willingness to respond / communicate via Airbnb messages is always appreciated :) Gawler has many 19th Century buildings - a couple of old churches (for example, the Catholic, Anglican and Presbyterian churches) are worth having a look at. Visitor Information Centre will provide lovely colour brochures for the Gawler Self-driving Tour and Gawler Church Hill walking tour. Apart from history side of things, Gawler offers a relaxing and slow pace ambiance - go for a morning walk in the beautiful parkland or a jog along the beautiful creek. Rub shoulders with locals for a local taste experience at the very popular breakfast/brunch place Java Hut on the main street, grab an Italian styled coffee and a sweet treat at CIBO which is also located on the main street, at night try out local pub meals at Prince Albert Hotel which has a nice interior after their recent renovation. For second hand shop lovers, there are a few shops within walking distance - such as Vinnies, AWL, Salvos, Lifeline & Gawler Community House, etc. As for the market on a weekend, I personally like Farmers Market in Pioneer Park (just a stone's throw) where you get fresh produce at competitive prices, nice coffee and soak up nice vibes from the gathering of Gawler locals. There are also different Farmers Markets on the weekend in nearby towns - one of them we love to visit (just a short drive) is Barrossa Farmers Market which offers a wide range of Barrossa made goods, from jam to delicious meals. It is very popular and is a draw card to both locals and residents from other parts of Adelaide. Weekend drive destinations for us for things like a fun walk and a nice brunch are some nearby beautiful countrytowns - Angaston, Tanunda & Nuriootpa - about 20-25 mins drive from Airbnb. Clare Valley and Semaphore Beach are also our favourite hang out places on a weekend or on a public holiday, about 1 hour drive. It is easy to walk around within Gawler town from this airbnb. Supermarket and the shopping centre with the attached ample carpark space is very accessible - just across the road if you wish to grab a few things the last minute. For activities outside Gawler and toward city's direction, hop on a train across the road for a visit in Adelaide city and/or a wander around in northern suburbs (if you need a break from driving). I endeavor to offer my guests an enjoyable short stay experience. So, please DO NOT hesitate to message me if you would like to ask anything or need help during your stay :)
