Charming gîte in the country side

If you love the French country side, rolling hills and rivers, medieval villages, churches and castles and also want to enjoy peace and stillnes, then you've come to the right place at Domaine Pouzoult. This French farmhouse has a comfortable, well-equipped and very tastefully decorated gite. Lying on sun loungers you can read books or just listening to the birds. If you want more action, go out, there is plenty to see. There are also a lot of walking paths in the neighbourhood. The gite consists of two floors, the living room downstairs and the sleeping and bathing area on the first floor. You have access to a fully modern fitted kitchen. The gite has a large living room with an easy sofa opposite a beautiful antique fireplace. A tastefully designed iron spiral staircase leads to a spacious mezzanine with sleeping space. From your Queen size box spring , you look out at trees. On this sleeping floor you will find modern sinks, walk-in shower and separate toilet. You are free to walk around the meadow and put your couch where you want. At the back of the meadow we have a nice bench focused on a beautiful view. Lovely to sit there with your book, coffee or glass of wine. We are available to our guests throughout the day. Very nice to explore this area on foot. Most villages are authentic French and have a picturesque church or market hall. The castles in the area are worth a visit. Water lovers can also indulge themselves here: there are plenty of activities to do at Lake Sidiailles; a little closer you can laze on a small beach. Domaine Pouzoult is a wonderful base to explore this piece of pure French territory, not yet discovered by mass tourism. The French countryside has an excellent road network. You therefore need a car. In Chateauroux (50 km) there is a station with various train connections to Paris, among others. If you do not feel like cooking, you can join (for a fee) a Plat du Jour.
