Attic Suite in Historic Town

Beautiful 1927 brick home in downtown historic Strasburg (Train Town USA), just down the street from the Railroad Museums and Sight & Sound Theatre, a short walk to Amish farmland, and a 15 minute drive to charming Lancaster City. A beautiful home in the perfect location! We offer a private guest suite in the attic with a kitchenette, comfy sitting area, and beautiful queen-sized bed. The kitchenette features a full-sized refrigerator, sink, microwave, and toaster and is stocked with some snacks, tea, and coffee for you to enjoy. The space is ideal for 2 people, but there is a small bedroom connected (part of the suite) with a twin sized bed that could be used for a 3rd person, and we have a second airbnb guest room downstairs that is also available (could accommodate up to 5 people, would require a second booking). We love living in this beautiful area, and are very familiar with the local attractions, restaurants, theatres, and events (we've worked for most of the theatres in the area!). We're happy to make recommendations! Private guest suite just for you! The guest bathroom is just down the stairs. It is only used for guests. We do have one other guest room also available on airbnb so depending on whether or not someone else is staying at the same time it could either be private or shared with another airbnb guest. You are also welcome to relax out on the front porch or in the yard. Enjoy total privacy and independence, or any amount of interaction you would like. Please let us know what you would prefer. We encourage open communication. We both keep fairly busy schedules and will be in and out of the house, but we enjoy interacting with guests as time permits. We will always be home at night. The perfect location! Strasburg is picturesque little town listed as a "historic district" by the National Register of Historic Places. Known as Train Town USA because of the many railroad attractions in and around town (including the Strasburg Rail Road and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania to name just a few!) it is also surrounded by Amish farmland. It's a short walk down main street to reach the square with the Strasburg Creamery, Country Store, Pizza City, Bakeries and Coffee Shops. About a mile to the railroad attractions and a mile from Sight & Sound Theatre and Hershey Farms Restaurant. The Rockvale and Tanger Outlets, American Music Theatre, and Dutch Wonderland are all just around the corner from Strasburg, and charming Lancaster City is about a 15-minute drive. We are also about 15 to 20 minutes from the beautiful towns of Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse, and Lititz. There is free on-street parking with plenty of room in front of the house. We also have room in our driveway for 1 extra vehicle. There's not much for public transit. We are about 20 minutes from the Amtrak Station in Lancaster. If stairs are difficult for you, this is probably not the place for you, as this is on the 3rd floor. We do our best to keep our house warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer, but it is not always easy with an older house. In the Summer it can be warm, and in the Winter it generally stays about 60-65°F. If you are new to airbnb, please know that this is our home. We love it here and love opening it up to guests, but it is not a hotel. If you are looking to stay in a hotel or an actual bed & breakfast there are many great ones in this area.
