Unique apartment, former contemporary art gallery.

The apartment is private and in a separate wing of a converted factory complex which includes an owner occupied building and artist studio in a residential neighborhood. We gladly welcome well behaved pets for an extra fee of $25. Only accepting guests that are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The apartment is modern and open yet charming with 1975 sq. ft. of living space. It is the home of the former Erickson-Davis Gallery, retaining some artworks by the host and her late husband. It's a great space for entertaining but events must be booked in advance with an additional fee. There is also a large office area in case you might consider bringing your work with you. There are two separate entrances to the apartment from the large parking area. It is wheelchair accessible from the outside but there are two steps up to the bathroom so might not be suitable for certain handicaps. They also might have difficulty getting into tub/shower. The host is available by text or phone with questions guests might have before and during stay. Pam is usually on premises in separate wing of the complex. Ivoryton is a small hamlet in the Village of Essex located in the Connecticut River Valley, a few miles off I-95, halfway between NYC and Boston. Essex is renowned for its quaint New England Main Street and vibrant boating scene. Essex Main Street is two miles away. There's also a vast system of hiking trails in the area. The Ivoryton Playhouse, The Connecticut River Museum and The Essex Steam Train are just some of the local attractions along with many fine dining establishments. There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking. Having your own car is preferable but Essex Taxi is a reliable alternative. Bike friendly. Only accepting guests who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. People with young children should be advised that the upstairs space and it's stairway could be a hazard for very active children and toddlers. Close supervision is highly recommended. The rough concrete floor is not very suitable for crawlers. Also be advised that the apartment is an open loft and even though the bedrooms are situated far apart and out of view, sounds may travel. There is a white noise machine and a Bluetooth speaker for your use.
