Alexandra is the gateway to boating, fishing, hiking, Great Victorian Rail Trail, Lake Mountain, local events including Alexandra Ute and Truck Show, Alexandra Pro Rodeo, music and cultural events, markets. Alexandra street scape has a large Foodworks, 3 pubs, many cafe's, chemist, art gallery, swimming pool, 2 op shops, and specialty stores. Step back in time - Quirky items from yesteryear. Retro decor and arcade game machines set on free play for guests, interesting local reading material, classic vinyl albums and games. Kitchen items are comprehensive, there's even a picnic basket and plasticware for a jaunt to the river or even in the backyard. Stays at Retro Rai's have catered for everyone, including your best mate Fido! A relaxed and comfortable stay is top priority for guests. Alexandra is a friendly town, with lots to see and do in the local area. A secure back and front yard for children and pets, onsite secure parking for water crafts. Entire property. Due to Covid cleaning protocols, only required beds will be made up. If requested, I can greet guests on arrival to show them how to operate the fires, local tips etc. Only a phone call away and live nearby. Any queries, questions,problems can be sorted promptly. The Great Victorian Rail Trail, Goulburn river and shopping precinct all within walking distance. Lake Eildon 20 mins Lake Mountain 40 mins Mt Buller 1hr 20 The majority of Alexandra is flat and easily accessible walking, mobility scooter, pram, push bike etc There are many interesting items for all guests to enjoy. If you have little ones, waggy tails or even big kids that may knock or damage items, please move them to a safe spot. Sadly, items have been taken by guests. Due to this occuring, all items have been photographed and an inventory list made. We check before and after each guest group to alleviate any misunderstandings. The items remain in place to keep the authenticity and retro vibe. Many of these items have been collected from clearing sales, garage sales, op shops and vintage stores.
