Traveler's Nest - A Comfortable Place to Land

Traveler's Nest is located in Blount County on The Dragon - a stretch of highway that attracts visitors from all over the world with breath-taking scenery and for the challenge of driving the extreme curves. It is less than 20 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport, 30 minutes from The University of Tennessee and less than an hour from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are many local restaurants and shops to explore and a ton of outdoor activities to enjoy. The space is a studio efficiency in a newly remodeled and furnished room adjacent to our home. There is a queen size bed and a full size bed as well as a big comfortable chair for reading or watching TV. A portable table with four chairs is ready to be used for dining or working. The kitchenette includes microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge and sink with hot and cold water. Dishes, glassware and silverware are provided. A full size refrigerator in the garage is also available for use. Garage parking is provided with direct entry into the studio. You will have access to lawn chairs and games to enjoy in the back yard. Muffins and fresh ground coffee for are provided in your room to help you start each morning! You will be able to park in the garage and enter directly into the studio without passing through our home. I will provide you with entry door keys, a remote control opener for the garage door as well as a code for the garage door. If you are arriving on motorcycle - no need to worry about gravel or hills - our property is fairly level and the driveway is paved. I will be available to offer help throughout your stay, but will leave it up to you how much interaction/conversation you want. I run my own business so I come and go during the day and am home most evenings. My husband works a more standard 8 to 5 job and is home most evenings. We love meeting new people and look forward to hosting travelers. Traveler's Nest is located on "The Dragon" less than 2 miles from 411 South - well before the curves and scenery. It is easy to find with nice neighbors and a big back yard to relax in after a day of traveling or touresting. We are close to area shopping including grocery stores and super centers as well as chain and local restaurants. We have a very friendly indoor cat and dog that will not be in the studio during your stay or between guests. We are happy to introduce you to them in the back yard or on the back patio. We want to be considerate of guests with allergies to pets and pet dander.
