800+ square feet renovated 2nd floor luxury apartment in a private building with 2 queen, 1 king and 1 toddler beds and a full kitchen (half size fridge and ice tray freezer, microwave and full size oven and range) and bathroom (marble shower). Magical experience for a family with kids or friends who like sharing a big open space (NO private bedroom). It is a fun experience! Brand-new luxury salt water pool beautifully set in nature. No other guests on the property. It is a a big studio apartment in a private building (on second floor with no elevator) with no separate private sleeping area. Amenities include pool and 2 camping fire pits, a small rustic charcoal Weber on back of property, plus 2 picnic tables for 6/8 (do not use the one next to the main house). Make sure you NEVER leave any fire unattended. Also you will find Hammoc stations spread around the property. Nature at its best. Wood and basket for s’mores provided for one evening on request. Guests have access to the outside property. Pool with hours to respect, playground, small pond with rowing boat on demand, sitting/eating area for 6 near camping fire pits in the back and small charcoal Weber grill on the property (in a clearing-2mnwalk from the house on grass) and hammocks stations available throughout the property. There are also 2 big wooden picnic tables (each for 6/8) for your needs, one near the swing just outside of the pool area and the other near the camping fire pits on back of the property where red chairs are. Do not use the one near main house. No party allowed and only guests on the reservation are allowed. 3 parking spaces allowed on site. Park where it is marked. Available if anything comes up as we live in the house on the right of the property. If we are away, I will make sure to answer promptly. Housekeeper is also on site. Pool can be shared with owners and if so, it will have specific hours. We always try to adjust to guests’ needs as we like happy guests. We are a few minutes drive away to : -the charming village of Katonah with a choice of independent locally owned restaurants, elegant shops, coffee/book and other fancy stores (fresh pasta) (Website hidden by Airbnb) is cozy hamlet that blends historic charm and stylish stores with major cultural institutions in a rustic scenery. You will never want to leave! -Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, with many cultural activities through the year. For HIKING/BIKING/WATER ACTIVITIES -We are a 2 mn walking distance to the back entrance of Muscoot farm (free) which is a charming educational farm with many splendid hiking trails and a farmer’s market on Sundays during warm months, -5 mn drive to the New Croton Reservoir walking bridge. -10 mn drive to Turkey Hill (which offers spectacular views of NYC skyline on clear days). -Landson Park Conservatory. -Beautiful bike trail nearby. -Apple and pumpkin picking farms are a short 10mn drive away on scenic roads. In the fall, you will be early enough on site to avoid the NYC crowd. -20mn drive to a beautiful lake where you can swim and boat mostly unrestricted. -20mn drive to the Hudson River and all the river towns. All that is one hour from Grand Central (MetroNorth) with local taxis/Uber available to bring you to the house.
