Located in a rural hamlet 5 miles from Dorchester and less than 20 minutes from Dorset's famous Jurassic coast, the property, designed by eminent architect Benjamin Ferrey, has been recently renovated in a stylish and contemporary décor for the ultimate luxe retreat. Two large bedrooms with additional beds, it can sleep four adults and two children comfortably. We have recently completed a full renovation of this architecturally unique property in a bold and eclectic style, with the aim of providing a luxury retreat in a splendid location. The vast master bedroom with high ceilings boasts a vintage superking bed as well as two single sofa beds, suitable for kids, not adults. The second bedroom can be configured as a superking or twin beds. The living room has everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay, from a large flat screen TV and funky bluetooth speaker to a piano and cocktail bar. The well-equipped kitchen diner has a table seating up to six guests and is complete with the all-important Nespresso machine and wine fridge. The impressive grounds speak for themselves and guests can enjoy the private terrace and an enormous shared garden with far reaching views. The house and private patio are yours, the communal gardens are shared with neighbours. You can unload outside The Courtyard, and then park your car a short way down the drive at the garages. Please do not park in front of the big house as that is private property and you will be clamped if you leave your car. We do not live locally, but are on hand for any questions and requests and have prepared a comprehensive, digital guide to the property that you will receive a few days before your arrival. The Courtyard is set within the grounds of Clyffe House, a mid- 19th century mansion designed by the architect Benjamin Ferrey. Accessed by a long, tree-lined private drive, it is a very secluded and peaceful residence in the heart of Thomas Hardy's Dorset. Located about a mile from the tiny hamlet of Tincleton, the property is within easy reach of vibrant Dorchester and the popular Dorset coast, beaches and countryside. The pretty village of Puddletown is a couple of miles away and has a shop, post office, excellent village pub, kids playground and cricket club. Given the rural location, you will need a car for getting out and about. Please do not park your cars in front of the big house as that is private property and you will be clamped if you leave your car. The house is not on mains sewage but shares a treatment plant with the neighbouring properties, so please do not flush anything but paper, and pour no oil or chemicals down the sink.
