There is free parking in the village square. There is no allocated parking space but you can always find somewhere to park, often directly in front of the house. On your arrival day, Shelley, the Co-Host, will leave your keys in the Key Safe, allowing you greater flexibility with your exact arrival time. However, she lives very nearby and is on hand throughout your stay should there be any queries or problems. On arrival, we will provide tea bags, sugar and biscuits, with milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We run our own wine business so can arrange for wine to be delivered in advance of your arrival, or even a top-up during your stay as we offer next day delivery. We have a selection of eco-friendly toiletries and a selection of organic Fairtrade coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, all available to buy should you require them. We provide a small selection of items free of charge including sugar, salt and pepper. We also provide stainless steel dog water and food bowls. Ugborough is a picturesque village in the beautiful South Hams. It is peaceful with no main road going through it but it is a thriving community, with a pre-school, school, church and two pubs, both of which are very close to The Haven - come out the front door and turn left or right for The Ship or The Anchor respectively. Please note: there is no shop in Ugborough but Ermington has a brilliant village shop and cafe, and Ivybridge has a Co-op and a Tesco Express (both Ermington and Ivybridge are only 3 miles away). There is also an enormous Tescos at Lee Mill which is 10 minutes down the A38. The House Manual has all the details of shops and nearest towns. Ugborough is ideally situated for Dartmoor (only 5 minutes drive) and the beautiful beaches of the South Hams (Mothecombe, our favourite, is 20 minutes drive and Bigbury/Burgh Island is about 25 minutes). You really need a car when staying in Ugborough in order to make the most of the area. There are buses but only once a week. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels provided. Faith In Nature toiletries (soap, shower gel, shampoo) in all bathrooms. Eco-friendly cleaning materials in kitchen and all bathrooms. Three beach towels provided. Highchair and plastic cutlery/crockery provided. Gas-fired hot water. NO smoking anywhere in the house. We accept well-behaved dogs, at a charge of £25 per stay. We ask that dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the soft furnishings, nor that they are left unattended in the house at any time. We provide two metal dog bowls, a jar of dog biscuits, poo bags and a freestanding stair gate which can be used at the bottom of the stairs.
