Oyster Cottage is a great holiday destination to enjoy Chesapeake ambience. Only a 3 minute drive to the waterfront and beach. Kayakers, bikers and sailors will be right at home. Located steps away from the town's festivals and delights like coffee at Java Rock, ice cream from Village Shops, or fresh produce at the market. Adventure awaits at Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge where you're able to hike paths, identify birds in their fly way migration, and witness undisturbed wildlife habitat. Oyster Cottage is spacious and able to accommodate 7 guests. We can also accommodate 1 small to medium sized dog for an additional cleaning fee of $75. The Cottage bedrooms upstairs have queen sized beds and one with an extra twin bed. There is a fold out sofa downstairs that can accommodate 2 additional guests. The single bathroom is on the ground floor as well as two living room spaces and a well appointed kitchen. The outside bricked patio space is great for grilling and chilling. Parts of the cottage date back to the 1800's as evidenced in the antique doors and hardware consistent with the historical period. When renovated the existing molding and baseboard were replicated to keep the "cottage" character. The kitchen and bathroom are modern but blend well with historic features of the house. The kitchen island has bar seating and there is a table that can seat four. Outside there are benches, a table with umbrella that seats 4 and a tree shaded picnic table that is great for cracking crabs. The side garden has a table for 2 that is super for enjoying a morning coffee. Off the kitchen there is a utility room with a washer-dryer and an extra refrigerator for the watermelon and summer libations. From the parking area in the rear of the house, guests enter by walking through a brick patio and garden to the kitchen door. Guests have access to the entire house except for a few closets where cleaning supplies are stored. Diane the property manager and co-host is located nearby and responds quickly to any questions or concerns you have. Rock Hall is a waterfront town on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
