Welcome to our beautiful, luxurious and ideally located appartment with access to a huge garden in central London. The high ceiling flat is quiet, airy, luminous & just 500 meters from Caledonian Road Tube on Piccadilly line, 10 minutes to the West End. The flat takes the entire first floor space of a Victorian house. You will have your own entrance, leading to a big lounge, a generously sized bathrom (with bath), a wonderfully airy bedroom & a kitchen with a secured backdoor to the garden. *** May 202 Update*** The flat is back on Airbnb!!! But because I want to stay Covid safe, the flat is only awailable for long stays - minimum 2 months. Please email for more information. Thank you! Spacious, beautiful and immaculate apartment, fully equipped, in the middle of a Victorian conservation area in the trendy Islington neighbourhood, with all it's cafes and shops, just minutes away by Tube from the West End and all it's theatres, restaurants and clubs; and a short bus journey away from Tate Modern Gallery on the Thames River and St Paul's Cathedral, we're down the road from Kings Cross/St Pancras & Euston station - where the Paris Eurostar goes from (so you are literally 3 hours away from Paris). Camden is a 10 minutes bus away, and so are the Islington Business Design Centre and the Arsenal - Emirates Stadium (but not close enough to endure the traffic and crowds on match days). *** EMIRATES STADIUM: For match days only, we offer 1 night stay with free parking, please check our calendar for availabilities and contact us for more information *** FEATURES: • Bus stop outside • London Underground 4 minutes away • Quiet location • Fast WI-FI • Huge garden • 4 supermarkets nearby (2 are open 24 hours) • Central heating • Raised ground floor (accessible, only 8 steps up) We have just installed a heating boiler in the flat (it's an automatic combi condenser boiler providing heating and hot water) the flat will be warm in the winter, and hot/cold water pressure is very good. Please note that we've recently added more fine quality English mahogany furniture, new dining table & chairs, coffee table, armchair and sofa, you'll find one picture showing the new furniture on the listing, and we're in the process of getting good quality pictures done. You will have access to a stunning garden. Some estate agents have described it as 'a park as a garden' which might be a stretch but it is big and secluded with several old trees which have tree preservation orders on them... not that you were considering chopping them down! I live in the same building (but in a completely separate flat with it's own entrance on the other side of the building) so please feel free to ask for any help, tips and advice. This is such an eclectic and vibrant part of London. Being in a conservation area there is an abundance of greenery and yet everything is on your doorstep. There are shops and cafes galore 3 minutes away from the flat: Waitrose and Marks & Spencer supermarkets which sell a wide range of fabulous produce, Boots (the chemists), Cafe Nero and Selbys store, not to mention our favourite award winning Restaurant: the Indian Ocean, on Holloway road. We are also just a short walk away from the London Centre of Champissage where you can get probably the best massage in London. *** May 2021 Update*** The flat is back on Airbnb!!! Because I want to stay Covid Safe, it is only available for long stays - minimum 2 months. Please contact me for more information. Thank you. The transport links could not be better. We are within easy walking distance of both Holloway Road and Caledonian Road tube stations, both served by the excellent Piccadilly line. Public transport from the flat: - Caledonian Road Tube Station on the Piccadilly Line is 4 minutes walk, from there it's 8 minutes (or 4 stops) to the West End at Covent Garden or Leicester Square stations. - There is a bus stop 20 metres from the flat with great connections to the city and Trafalgar Square with the following connections: - Bus No 17 to London Bridge via the City will take you straight to High Holborn in 7 minutes, to Fleet street in 10 minutes, to Saint Paul's Cathedral in 15 minutes, to Cannon Street in 19 minutes and London Bridge in 20 minutes. - Bus No 91 to Trafalgar Square will take you straight to St Pancras International Rail Station (Eurostar) is 10 minutes, to Euston Station is 12 minutes and to Trafalgar Square/Whitehall (via the Strand) in 35 minutes. Getting to/from Heathrow airport: Taking the underground from and to Heathrow airport is convenient and cheap as you can take the Piccadilly line straight from Heathrow airport to Caledonian Road Tube Station which is the nearest station to the flat (it’s then 500 metres to walk from the tube station to the flat). This option will take a long time (approximately 1:30 hour tube journey), but it's the cheapest. You can also take the Heathrow express train to Paddington and then the tube from Paddington to Caledonian Road, it's a quicker journey (about 1 hour) but there are two train changes, so can be tricky with luggage. Also if you are two people travelling taking the Heathrow Express it's the same price as taking a taxi - but not a black cab, I would advise ordering a taxi in advance: there are taxi companies like Yellow Cars London who will greet you from the airport's customs exit with your name on a board and you pay them at the end of the journey. You agree price before ordering – it’s about £44-£49 and journey time will be 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Parking in front of the house is always available with an Islington parking permit, which we can provide (for a fee) . There is an excellent 100Mb fibre optic internet connection - through your own Wifi network at every point of the flat. About check in and check out times, please let me know if you require to check in particularly early (before 12am) or would like to check out particularly late (after 14:00pm). I'll always try to accommodate your preference. If I have guests leaving and arriving on the same day, I will ask you for your arrival/departure time, to give us enough time for cleaning.
