Tyshon Jacob Farm is a unique property away from everywhere. With breath taking views this cozy bungalow is nestled in the side of a mountain top on the edge of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. A great place to come for a break, relax with dogs, kids, family, romantic break or even remote working, desk included. We are in a very pretty spot with lots to do in the surrounding area inc. walking/outdoor activities, cultural centres, pretty towns and dramatic scenery, see listing for more. Tyshon Jacob Farm is a uniquie property away from anywhere with 2 bedrooms and a large characterful sitting room with wood burning stove and panoramic views across the valley. We have a conservatory entrance which a cozy sitting area with a fantastic view looks down the valley and out across to the next mountain. You then walk through to another lobby area which has a desk and further seating and can be used as a work/office area. There are 2 double bedrooms off this lobby area. Each bedroom has a double bed that can be split in to two and one of bedrooms has an additional 2 pull out beds. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room. The first bedroom which we call Strawberry has an en-suit bath room, the second bedroom, Honeysuckle, has an en-shower room. There is also a huge stand alone family bathroom with a door out to a huge terrace and double aspect windows with views right down the valley. You can relax in the bath or shower and look straight out at the mountain. Also off the lobby area is a large L shaped sitting room with log burner and door out to the huge terrace. Good for BBQs and taking in the view. Our newely refubished kitchen has an island and welsh dresser and goes straight into the dining room. The cooking area to the side of the island has oven and microwave and hob. We are 20 minutes from Newport station, 40 minutes from Cardiff and a short drive to the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Blaenafon World Heritage site, Big Pit National Coal Museum and the beautiful Brecon Monmouthshire canal are just up the road. (further information about local attractions in this listing) From the house you can stroll around the gardens and meadow, across the fields and down into another hillside meadow and woodland with stunning views. Great for small childern to runaround, for picnics and dog walking. Also great walks out across our local "mountains" with panoramic views. Happy to give directions. If you enjoy mountain biking we have some of the best tracks in south wales a short walk/cycle away. As a remote small holding we are at the bottom of a bumpy track so please do be aware. It is easy to drive but definately not a tarmacked road. Lots of cafes and restaurants (Website hidden by Airbnb) lovely walks along the river • Usk Castle – very pretty privately owned castle • Monmouth – pretty market town – lovely walks • Ross on Wye – pretty market town • Wye Valley – with many gorgeous walks – 30 minute drive • Tintern Abbey • White Castle 34 minutes • Raglan – Beaufort Inn, great pub - 30 minutes drive • Raglan Castle – lovely café next door • Celtic Manor Golf Resort • Chepstow and Chepstow Castle – 30 minute drive • Caldicot Castle – 40 mins • Grosmont village and castle, lovely pub and cafes - 45 mins • Caerleon Roman Ruins including, Fortress, Baths and Amphitheater.
