Groton Center Studio in Historic 1850's Home
This first floor Groton center studio apartment is a short walk (2 minutes?) to the new Groton Inn and Forge & Vine restaurant and a half mile to the award winning Gibbet Hill restaurant. Located on a quiet in-town side street, the Nashua River Rail trail is also just half a block away and great for walking, biking, and of course cross country skiing in season. This is a great location to get to both the Groton School and Lawrence Academy as well. This is a studio apartment best suited for singles or couples. There is a comfy pullout couch though, if you need to accommodate a third person. I live in the right side of the house, but it is entirely separate from the studio. I can lend 2 kayaks for use in the Nashua River a few miles down the road and two adult size bicycles as well. You have your own front . You have street parking in front of the house during the day. From November to April there is no overnight street parking you can park in the bank of America parking lot overnight I will leave a key for you to do self-check in, but will be around and available should you have questions or any issues during your stay. The place is right in the heart of Groton center, within walking distance to several great restaurants, yoga studio, café, library, rail trail, and Gibbet Hill (which is a beautiful spot for a short day hike). There is a natural market just around the corner with some basic grocery supplies and fresh fruits and vegetables if you're thinking of having a night in. A lovely package store (liquor store if you're not from New England) is a few blocks away as well. Groton has hundreds of miles of beautiful hiking trails. We are also a 15 minute drive to the extensive shopping area in Nashua NH. We also have a very friendly Alaskan Malamute (Fred) who sometimes hangs out in the backyard. Feel free to say hello to him. We are about 10 minutes to the Ayer commuter rail stop from Boston, or a 45 minute drive (not in rush hour). You can also hop on the rail trail right across from the Ayer train stop and bike directly here, if you don't want to reply on a car. It is about 3.5 miles from Ayer Center.
