Country Retreat, 14 miles from NYC

This serene, country space with private bathroom and separate entrance is tucked away in the Palisades hamlet. You can reach NYC in 20 minutes by car (only 14 miles) or take the bus (10 min walk to bus stop) which will get you to Port Authority in 1 hour. Lamont is a 5 minute drive away. There are hiking trails around the corner behind the house, Piermont and the Hudson River are a 5 minute drive away and the 9w bike route is 5 min walking distance away. Private entrance to private room with private bath and outdoor patio. If you are staying longer than a few days, access to kitchen and laundry can be discussed. Hands down the best feature of this location is the vicinity to NYC (14 miles!!!), as well as nature! Tallman State Park and Rockleigh Park are around the corner. You can hike the miles of forested trails, sit on a rock next to a babbling brook, go kayaking in the Piermont Marsh and Hudson River, bike for miles up to Harriman State Park on 9w or bike right into NYC. If you love quaint little towns on the River, Piermont is only 3 miles away and Nyack is 6 miles away. For people who are outdoor enthusiasts and love nature, as well as the cultural offerings of NYC, this is the perfect location for you. There is a bus stop 10-15 minutes walking distance away. It will bring you straight into NYC or into the surrounding towns of Piermont and Nyack. If guests arrive past 11 pm and I don’t get to meet you, you will need to enter via the backyard and use the lock box to enter. Your space will then be a self-enclosed studio space (room plus bathroom) as we go to bed and leave early the next morning. Without meeting you, you would not have access to the rest of the house, i.e. kitchen.
