Depandanza is a self-contained apartment with an art gallery-like atmosphere and fairytale bedroom in the heart of the traditional village of Poljubinj. Many local hikes begin at the front door, including waterfalls, gorges, and the Soca River, all within about a half hour walk. Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and pharmacies are a 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) away in the town of Tolmin. The apartment offers easy proximity to a larger town with the charm and tranquility of a peaceful village The village of Poljubinj is a quiet place situated between a beautiful forest and the commercial center of Tolmin, where multiple supermarkets, a pharmacy, post office, and a number of cafes are located. There are two natural springs, or "life water" sources within minutes' walk of the property, and many trails from the front door leading to sights of natural beauty, including the confluence of the Tolminka and Soca Rivers, where many festivals are typically held each year. A car is convenient but not required for the location. The nearest supermarket is about 25 minutes away; the bus station five minutes further on. Many area highlights are accessible via local trails from the property, and we are usually available to provide transportation to and from the train station (about 10 minutes away) with prior agreement.
