My cabin is a hidden gem in Urbandale, a neighborhood only 15 minutes from downtown that's filled with unique architecture, old trees, and multicultural flavor. Crafted from pine felled and hand-planed in Boone, NC, the cabin has a wonderful smell and unique aesthetic. It's like a woodcutter's home deep in the woods, yet sits safely in my verdant backyard. Its decor was collected over years of careful selection. Strong A/C and heat emit from the same window unit. The definition of cozy! As a guest in the cabin, you can build a bonfire in the pit, play in the yard, use the kitchen in the house, or join me for dinner. Enjoy yourself! The cabin sits in the yard of The Urban Cloud, which is home to me, two other Airbnbs (loft apartment and Vintage Airstream), the disaster relief organization I founded (RETREET) and an artist's studio. Even so, you can have all the privacy or interaction you'd like. White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum, The Great Trinity Forest, Trinity Audubon Center, and Oak Cliff are also nearby. While the DART Rail is close (Lawnview Station), a car is recommended. RETREET, the disaster relief organization that I founded, also calls The Urban Cloud home. Your stay will empower my ability to continue organizing volunteers to replant trees for families across North America deep within the recovery process.
