LOCATION, LOCATION! Enjoy your private two-bedroom apartment in the center of Vergennes, “The Little City With a Big Heart”. Entry to the apartment is via our elevator, and keypad self check-in provides easy access. We are just one block to shops and restaurants, and it is just a short ride to Middlebury, Burlington, or Lake Champlain. You are also welcome to enjoy our cozy backyard and fire pit. Located on the second floor of our historic home, the apartment is centrally air conditioned in the summer, and separate room thermostats keep you warm and cozy in the winter. Coffee, tea, cream, and ice in the well appointed kitchenette are all supplied for your convenience. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine at our lovely private backyard table or by our fire pit. There is plenty of room in the garage for bikes or other outdoor equipment and free street parking in front of or near the house. Guests have full and private access via a keypad and elevator to the apartment’s 2 bedrooms, bath, sitting area, and kitchenette. My husband and I reside in the home and are available to help you with anything you might need for your stay. We love meeting our guests, and will interact as much or as little as you wish. The 1795 House is the most iconic home in the City of Vergennes and is perfectly located right on the Village Green in town. The Main Street stores and restaurants are just one or two blocks away. The Vergennes Opera House, right around the corner, offers great shows and events. You can enjoy band concerts and the Farmers Market on the Green during the summer, and Basin Harbor Club and Lake Champlain are a few short miles away. There are beautiful roads ideal for biking, and a number of hiking trails just a few minutes drive from town. Everything in the City of Vergennes is a short walk from our home. There is bus service to Burlington, which is a 25 miles away, and Middlebury is 12 miles away.
