Large detached house on the Cumbrian Coast

Kirkhouse is located in the small hamlet of Kirksanton in Cumbria, only 5 minutes from the seaside towns of Haverigg and Millom. Kirkhouse is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle, a tranquil home to unwind. If your after more adventure then there is plenty to keep you occupied within the local area and further lakes areas. Please contact us for any dates not listed, we usually only host in the school holidays but can try and accommodate at other times. The house comprises of a large kitchen and dining room, a large living room with children’s playroom area and hallway on the ground floor. The first floor contains 2 large bedrooms and a large family bathroom with bath and shower. The top floor of the house houses another large bedroom, bathroom and vanity area mezzanine with stunning views across the back fields. The top floor of the house has been completely renovated, along with the first floor family bathroom. The other rooms are yet to be renovated but are all still clean, homely and finished beautifully. To the rear of the house is a large mature garden, complete with seating area on the decking with views across the back fields. The garden also has plenty of toys (including a trampoline) to keep little ones entertained. The conservatory is one of our next projects and is currently empty, but serves as a clean and tidy thoroughfare to the garden. You are also welcome to store anything in here during your stay. Plenty of parking to the front of the property. We will be on hand to answer calls, texts or emails during your stay. Kirksanton is a small hamlet just outside the Lake District national park. It provides direct access to the beach down the lane along with plenty of walks from our doorstep. The hamlet has a popular pub, which serves the best steak you will ever eat! However we are currently awaiting its reopening date after COVID closures. There is also a children’s play park and a large green at the front of the property with stunning views of Black Combe. We are located on the coast with easy access to the quieter western sites such as Wast Water, Eskdale and Ennerdale. Coniston, Windermere and Ambleside are all within 45 minutes from our home too. The beach is accessible on foot or bike down the lane, alternatively Silecroft and Haverigg beaches are a 5 minute drive away. Silecroft and Millom both have train stations on the Cumbrian Coast line, connecting up to Barrow in Furness, Lancaster, Carlisle and further afield. A few taxi companies serve the local area. Both Millom and Haverigg have a range of shops and are 5 minutes away. Asda, Tesco and Morrison’s all offer delivery to Kirkhouse
