Copake Retreat

Our cozy 3 bedroom home is 120 miles from New York City and 150 miles from Boston. It's located in a friendly private lakeside community with 2 sandy beaches on Robinson Pond. The surrounding area is gorgeous with rolling hills and farms. We're within a half-hour drive from Great Barrington, MA., Hudson, NY, and Millerton, NY. and it's a very short drive to Taconic State Park. Enjoy our 4-season Copake Retreat! Our house offers privacy, but it's not secluded. It's great for individuals, couples and families. There's easy access to great hiking at Taconic State Park, Bash Bish Falls, and miles of lovely walks or biking at the nearby Rail Trail, and an abundance of cultural activities and restaurants. We do not have a dishwasher. There's a window air conditioner in the master bedroom and the bedroom with the twin beds; there is no air conditioner in the downstairs bedroom. There is electric baseboard heating in every room; each room has a thermostat. Kayaks or other boats are not available for guest use. The whole house. I'll be in Brooklyn, New York, but I can always be reached by phone, text or email. I have local people to help out with any immediate concerns. The beaches are a very short drive from the house. The closest beach is called beach 3, and it's about a half mile. There are docks to swim to in both beaches. Please note that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, social distancing and masks are required in public areas. No motor boats are allowed on the lake. It's a very peaceful and quiet lake. Check-in is anytime after 3 pm by lock-box. Please bring a flashlight or use flashlight on your phone if you check-in after dark. A filled out and signed Renter's Agreement is needed after booking. Taconic Shores Property Association requires it. There's baseboard heating, so make sure flammable objects, such as decorative pillows are kept away from heating source.
