Deer Run is a log cabin with all the modern comforts you need tucked in a cozy setting that looks like it could have been there for centuries! It sits along the bank of Big Elkin Creek with steps that lead down to the water's edge and a bench that's perfect for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine to sip as you watch the sun set. Deer Run is an authentic, newly constructed, 400 square foot, one bedroom log cabin. It features all the comforts of home, plus a relaxing hot tub on the back deck and garden swing down by the creek! Inside, you'll find a comfortable queen size bed, full size bed in upstairs sleeping loft (accessible by a ladder), gas fireplace, phone, WiFi, Satellite TV, kitchen, 20" oven/four burner stovetop, under-the-counter refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, drip coffeemaker, and bath with walk-in shower. We provide bed linens and enough bath linens for one towel and one washcloth per day, person, but no maid service. Frog Holler is now offering wine tours to our guests and anyone from the general public over the age of 21. Group discounts available. No worries, leave the driving to us! Advanced reservations required. Guests can also enjoy our 26 acre, heavily wooded property, surrounded on three sides by Big Elkin Creek. We have a walking trail, stocked "catch and release" fishing pond, and plenty of peace and quiet! There is so much to do here in the Yadkin Valley: trout fishing, hiking, Stone Mountain State Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, zip lines, rafting, art galleries, golf, antiques, dining, numerous vineyards and wineries, historic downtowns, and much much more! Hike along Big Elkin Creek or enjoy fishing in our stocked, catch and release fishing pond! Feel free to use our covered deck overlooking the waterfalls of the creek to have a small family get together! People enjoy coming to Frog Holler for peace and quiet. Although we live on the property, our guests are afforded all the privacy they want and need...which means we don't often see them, but we're always here if they need anything. Due to safety concerns with the ladder, loft, and exposed beams, this cabin is NOT recommended for families with children under eight years of age.
