Enchanting two bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage
Entire two bedroomed cottage set in the heart of The Cotswolds nestling within the grounds of our small family farm. Warrens Cross Cottage is situated one mile from the picturesque market town of Lechlade upon Thames. This small market town has a diverse range of shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk of the stunning Thames path. The cottage is the perfect base from which to explore one of England's most sought after holiday destinations, whether on foot or by car! The cottage has 2 double bedrooms, a large stylish walk in rainfall shower, sitting room , a kitchen/diner and a small private sunny courtyard garden together with a large front-garden with beautiful, uninterrupted views over our land. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, side chair and coffee table. There is a 42" TV equipped with Freeview box for a wide selection of channels. The kitchen is well equipped with all utensils, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. It has a large 4 seater farm house table and opens onto the generous front garden which has a paved area opening onto lawns which catch the afternoon sun. There is garden seating for four with a parasol and BBQ and firepit for those sunny alfresco days! Initial supply of logs provided, any additional logs can be purchased at £10 per barrow. The property has been tastefully decorated by "Dolly Daydream Designs" @dollydaydreamdesigns. The bedrooms are painted in Farrow & Ball colours to ensure a peaceful, relaxing feel with crisp white linen. The master bedroom has a rear-facing window, a walk-in wardrobe and drawers for storage. The second bedroom has beautiful views over the surrounding farmland. Both have the classic comforting cottage feel. The cottage is perfectly located to really explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer and is an ideal base for those seeking wedding accommodation or a relaxing break from the city. Ample free parking for up to 3 cars within the grounds of the securely gated cottage. Early luggage drop off can be arranged upon request. Access available from 4pm Departure by 11am The cottage is situated just off of the A417 within the grounds of our small family equestrian farm. There are horses, dogs, cats and chickens to be seen (fresh eggs readily available). We are a friendly bunch and can be contacted for any advice or help should that be needed. We hope to enrich your experience here, and if you are at all interested in meeting our equines, please do just ask! Please be aware not to feed any of the animals. Please note if you wish to bring a dog there is an additional £10 to your cleaning fee and we must know you are briging your furry friend prior to your arrival. Located in the heart of Cotswold Water Park, with stunning walks, bike rides, paddle boarding you name it we have it locally. With acess to M4 / A40 all with in 20 minutes of the cottage. Lechlade is a small attractive riverside town on the edge of the Cotswolds. and gets its name from the River Leach which joins the Thames just east of the town. From the earliest days, it was an ideal location for a settlement as the rivers were a source of food and an easy way to travel. Today, the population of Lechlade is just over 3100. There is a healthy tourist trade, particularly in the summer when the Thames is busy with cruisers, narrowboats and small boats. There is good fishing in the local rivers and lakes, country walks in the stunning Cotswolds countryside, and various nature reserves in the area. The town is the perfect staging-post for visitors to the Cotswolds. Warrens Cross is midway between the historic town of Cirencester (The Roman Capital of England) and the dreaming spires of the City of Oxford, home to the oldest University in the English speaking world! Getting around Lechlade is on the A361, linking it to the main motorway via Swindon for the M4 or via A40 at Burford to the M40. Local rural public transportation is limited, as in most parts for the country, but there is an acceptable level of bus transport between Lechlade, Swindon, Fairford and Cirencester. The main train stations are Swindon for the GWR line (10 miles away) or Charlbury on the Cheltenham line (15 miles) Local taxi services are then available for transfers from the station to the cottage. For getting around more locally, we have bicycles which guests can use to explore the nearby stunning countryside. We are a small family business, and we strive to offer guests the very best standards of comfort and hygiene. We would respectfully ask that you leave the property in a clean and tidy condition. we are delighted to offer stabling for horses (please ask for rates). We have excellent facilities including a recently built 60 x 30 arena with full set of showjumps. We have ample riding around the land.
