The Costrel
The Costrel is a self-contained bedsitting room, part of a 400 hundred year old former inn and cider house. It is situated in a peaceful spot in the charming village of St Michael's just two miles from picturesque Tenbury Wells with its independent shops, numerous cafes and the unique Regal cinema. It is surrounded by hop fields, apple orchards and rolling countryside, perfect for walks right on the doorstep. Enjoy the peace and quiet and recharge your batteries. A bright and comfortable bed-sitting room with king-sized bed, small sofa, table and chairs, ensuite shower room, and wall mounted TV. There are no kitchen facilities but a kettle, crockery and cutlery, a small fridge and a microwave; tea, coffee and cereals are also provided. It has its own entrance and is fully private from the main part of the house. Please note there are two steps down to the front door, with a hand rail, (as shown in the photos), and a step up into the ensuite shower room inside. Free parking on the drive of the main house. Private entrance at the side of the house to The Costrel . ‘The Costrel’ is the former games room from when the property was an inn and is named after the small wooden, iron bound barrel that was typically carried out into the fields by farm workers to complement their midday meal. . They hung from their belts while they were working. For hundreds of years it was common place for farmers to give their workers a daily allowance of cider and this was put into a costrel.
