This spacious, 2 bedroom, first floor apartment is set in the lodge at the westernmost end of Himley Hall & Park in South Staffordshire. The apartment overlooks the park itself where you can find golf, fishing and sailing on the lake as well as lovely walks & a terrace tea room. Only a 10 minute walk away, the family can enjoy a high rope adventure and children's play area. Or a short drive brings you to Halfpenny Green Vineyard, the historic Black Country or beautiful Shropshire. Welcome! The stairs to the first floor are fairly steep and lead to a long hallway, at the end of which is the bathroom. The dining room is off the kitchen which can be found off the comfortable lounge. The two bedrooms are of a generous proportion and the 2nd bedroom has a truckle bed which converts to 2 single beds. Parking is in the main courtyard inside and to the left of the lodge and has a lockable gate, so is quite secure. The courtyard is under development so please bear with us. You are welcome to access the walled garden beyond the courtyard and you have access to the Park itself from your front door. I am happy to support guests with any queries and recommend places to visit and good restaurants, bars and take-aways. Guests are welcome to call my mobile whenever they need anything. DY3 4LA - Himley Hall & Park is on the border of South Staffordshire and close to the Glasshouse Red Cone at Wordsley, the canals in Stourbridge and the Halfpenny Green Vineyard. 15 minutes away is the Black Country Living Museum and only 25 minutes away is Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. The Lodge itself is in South Staffordshire close to the villages of Himley and Wombourne. Parking is on site (within the courtyard that is under development, so not beautiful yet but it is secure) and you can walk straight into the park from your front door. 5 minutes' drive away are the villages of Kingswinford and Wall Heath where you will find a range of quality restaurants and take-aways. The lodge is on a popular cycling and walking route and buses run a 5 minute walk away from the lodge on the Stourbridge Road. A large Sainsbury's is a 4 minute drive along the B4176 at WV5 8AP. There is also a Lidl and a Morrisons, just 6 minutes' drive along the Wolverhampton Road towards Kingswinford, turning left at Stallings Lane. The courtyard buildings should not be entered as they are due for redevelopment. The old vinery is protected and planning for its re-purpose is overseen by Historic England. Eventually, the courtyard will house the bathrooms and parking for the glamping site opening in Spring 2022.
