Gated garden and lovely landscaped setting. Vaulted ceilings, gracious dining room, deck, 12 fantop windows. Near the historic river town of Elsah with its picturesque stone houses near Principia College. A tourist river town Grafton about 10 minutes away. Pere Marquette State Park with hiking trails and Lodge is 20 min away. Gorgeous Mississippi river views driving on the Great River Road. Great getaway for R&R. The spacious interior is inviting and inspiring. Many original oil paintings are on display. The decor includes oriental carpets as well as some antique furniture that is fully functional. The deck has outdoor furniture in warmer months. 12 fantop windows with views to the surrounding wooded areas. The entire first and second story of the house. The master bedroom is on level one with an adjoining bath with both a shower and a jacuzzi tub. The upstairs has a full bath with both a shower and a large tub. The best way to get quick answers is from us via Airbnb messages. We have family that lives across the street to take care of emergencies. There is a long term rented private lower level walkout apartment in the back with a separate entrance. The house if filled with light during the day and many windows look out onto surrounding tall trees and some mowed lawn. It is part of a small development of homes in a rural area with one acre lots. Very beautiful and restful environment all times of year. The internet is perfectly good for social media and emails and streaming movies most often works, but not always. There are 40+ DVD's available for guests. The TV is regular broadcast digital with about 15 channels.
