Delectable dwelling on the hill
The house is located in northern Tuscany, in the heart of green Lunigiana, on the edge of a chestnut forest with a fantastic view of the Apennines. The house is perfect for a relaxing holiday and it is not far from the mediterranean coast and the Cinque Terre (Unesco Heritage). The house and the garden are independent and for the exclusive use of the guests. The accommodation, an old farmhouse, has been recently renovated. It retains some of the typical characteristics of the local country houses such as the small wooden barn on the facade. The interiors are the result of a careful restoration made by using high quality materials such as the terracotta floors of the living room (the tiles are deted back to the 17th century) and the wooden roofs. Part of the decor has been made by restorating old furniture of the early '900. The house has a large kitchen-living room, two bedrooms with king-size bed (one of them is placed on wooden loft), two bathrooms, a wooden porch and a large garden with olive and fruit trees. The house is independent and avery room is accessible except for the technical room (boiler room). The owner will be available during the morning to respond to requests or to provide advice on services and tourist activities in the area. The owner can speak only Italian, but his son can speak English and will answer all you questions by email. The house is placed in a small hamlet near the medieval settlement of Mulazzo and it is surrounded by green chestnuts, the tipical trees that characterize the woods in Lunigiana. Near the house (20 min. by feet) there is a small river where, during the summer, is possible to take a relaxing fresh bath. The site is quite and pleasant, particularly suitable for those who love peace and relax. The house is located a few kilometers from the main medieval villages of the area such the famous centers of Pontremoli, Bagnone and Filetto. During the summer time they host several local festivals The area offers many attractions and activities organized by experienced tour guides such as cycling or walking along the ancient Via Francigena, guided vtour to historic towns and castles, wine and food tasting and canyoning in the torrents of the valley. In a short time you can also reach the Tyrrhenian coast and the seaside city of Portovenere, Lerici and the Cinque Terre area (UNESCO Heritage). For those who love trekking, the area it is full of trails made by the Italian Alpine Club. On the Apennines there is the famous "Cento Laghi" Park (Hundred Lakes park) with its numerous paths leading to the peaks and to the Mountain Huts. The host will provide the guests with brochures and booklets during the stay Services: Bed linen and towels (weekly changed ), TV, two sun loungers and a hammock, a large outdoor barbecue and tables with chairs. Each bathroom has a large shower. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge, oven, 5 burners, a microwave oven, toaster, kettle pot, Moka pot, American coffee maker, a large work surface and utensils for 6 people. If needed, we can provide a cradle suitable for 0-3 year-old children
