French Farmhouse with pool

Within walking distance of a sleepy picturesque market town, this well-loved, spacious family home, makes for an ideal relaxing holiday with young families. With its pool, shady terrace, huge garden, cool interiors: happy children = happy parents :) Entirely surrounded by the rolling countryside, with the Pyrenees shimmering in the distance, the house is nestled in a one acre park. For outdoor entertainment there is a swimming pool (non heated and so open between June and September only) and a barbeque area for outdoor cooking as well as 2 terraces for dining al fresco (one very large covered terrace area - indispensable on the very hot days!), as well as a table tennis table and a swing/slide set. The rental comprises the use of the main house. In total there are 4 separate sleeping areas: 4 large double bedrooms (1 with ensuite facilities, 1 with ensuite facilities and an adjoining nursery/twin bedroom, 1 suitable for those unable to climb stairs), 3 twin bedrooms, 4 bathrooms/showerrooms. If you are a large group, you can also rent out the adjoining gite, which has 2 bedrooms (double and twin), a shower room, and a sofa bed in the lounge (Please see our other airbnb listing for prices). We also have 4 sets of cots and highchairs, as well as toys and games for all ages. A fee of 170€ will be added to your booking for towels and linen for 4 double beds and 6 single beds. Any extra bed needed will be billed at 15€ per bed, 7€ per cot. English television and internet access is included in your booking price. Guests have access to all parts of the house. The garage, attic spaces and laundry room are not accessible. The gîte will only be open if you have rented this on our separate listing. If you have rented the house only, you will have exclusive use of the pool and grounds: the gite will not be rented to another party during your stay. If we are not available to help you out during your stay, we will ensure that someone is on hand to help you with any queries or problems (English and French speaking) Whether you want to hike up mountains, relax in an unspoilt French village with a glass of rosé, shop until you drop in Toulouse or just relax by the pool all day, there is something here for you. The Pyrenees are within driving distance, and the pretty town of Samatan is only a 15-minute drive, with its nationally renowned bustling Monday market and leisure lake with waterslides, sandy beach, and mini-golf. The world-famous Jazz Festival In Marciac (27 July - 16 August) is just an hour away. We are a 50 minute drive from Toulouse Blagnac airport, 1h45 from Carcassonne airport. There is a bus that goes to and from central Toulouse but we would strongly recommend having your own transport, as there is so much to do and see in the area. A taxi from the airport to the house costs approximately 80€ if you order it from an Isle-en-Dodon taxi company. The weather in this part of France stays warm and sunny well into October, after which time the pool will be closed. September and October are the best months for mountain hiking as the weather is at its most clement. The ski resorts are usually open from around December until March. The nearest is a 1h20 minute drive from the house.
