Cupola House on Lake Champlain

The restored "Greek Revival" Cupola House has 2 fully furnished 2nd floor apartments with spectacular lake and garden views. Each is elegant and comfortable with full kitchens & all basic needs for a long or short stay. Located in historic Essex, NY My accommodations are on the 2nd floor - an easy walk-up. The North Apt. has 1 bedroom w. queen bed and single bed. Wood stove in bedroom adds romance. South Apt. has 2 bedrooms w. queen in each very clean and cozy. There is a small art and antique gallery on the 1st floor of the Cupola House. Guests may use picnic area in yard with fire pit and grill. You'll love the covered porch that overlooks Lake Champlain. Guests may use washer & dryer on 1st floor of the main house. Kayaks and bikes available - weather permitting. I'm available for every check in to show the accommodations and answer all questions. I'm most often on the premises running the small shop on the 1st floor. The Cupola House is located in a quiet part of this historic Lake Champlain seaport. Essex, NY has wonderful architecture and every business as well as the ferry dock is within walking distance. The village has a little of everything - including restaurants, shops, gallery, a summer theater, small marinas, town park, playground, library and and ice cream shop! Amtrak depot is 12 miles south in Westport. Taxi service available from Mountain Taxi. Airports include Burlington, Vt. Plattsburgh, NY and Albany, NY. I've been operating as a guesthouse and vacation rental establishment for 15 years. My guests return year after year and have claimed this is the nicest place on Lake Champlain.
