Boatappartment with great view on river Maas 1-5p
Enjoy Rotterdam the Rotterdam way. On a classic Amsterdam ferry (1911) in a comfortable apartment with sunny deck terrace, a view on the New Meuse and the Rotterdam skyline. Sleep tightly in the bow of the ship on the rhythm of the tide. Loftboat Rotterdam Kralingen is a former Amsterdam IJ-ferry dating from 1911. The boat was converted into a comfortable 55 m2 guest apartment (1-5 persons). There is a large, sunny private deck terrace with a view on the New Meuse and the Rotterdam skyline. The apartment has its own entrance and offers a great deal of privacy. The salon is flooded with natural light. The kitchen is ready for cooking, and coffee and tea are present. The apartment has a work space, a wood-burning stove, TV, tuner/amplifier, CD/DVD player, an IPod connection and WiFi. All rooms have central heating. There is bathroom with shower, a separate bedroom with a double bed and sleeping options for 3 in the salon. You have access to the whole apartment and the deck terrace. The owner has a separate apartment in the back of the ship. Interaction is during check-in. If you need any information about the boat or about Rotterdam, you can contact the owner. The ship is moored in the small harbour of the former Rotterdam water company, right next to its monumental watertower. De Esch is now a residential area, a mix of modern architecture and the old water company buildings. At walking distance (2 minutes) there is a shopping centre with a supermarket, cafe Tomtom and restaurant De Watertoren (in the watertower). Also in the area nearby are Erasmus University, business centre Rivium, Arboretum Trompenburg and a nature walking/jogging path along the New Meuse. Loftboat Rotterdam Kralingen can be reached from Rotterdam Central Station with tram 21 or 24 (direction De Esch/stop at the Watertower). From the City centre you can take a Watertaxi, it stops close to the ship. Parking is free very close to the ship.
