If required the round table can be replaced with a work desk and office chair. Kensington is one of Adelaide’s most historic ‘villages’ and was laid out in a unique diagonal grid pattern in the 1850s.. It has many heritage homes dating back to the time when horse drawn trams used to ply from Kensington into the city down Norwood Parade. Other significant heritage buildings remain, including close by Rising Sun Inn and Dr Borthwick's lovely home in High Street. Vibrant and popular Norwood Parade is a ten minute walk or two minute drive; home to outdoor bars and cafes, restaurants, take-aways, banks, shops, and cinemas. There is also a supermarket, post office and the art deco Regal (formally Chelsea) cinema at Marryatville is just a short walk up High Street. The beautiful and historic Norwood pool is a five minute walk away; located actually in Kensington (Philips St). Shops and supermarkets are a 2 min drive or ten minute walk away (Norwood Parade and Marryatville). Central Adelaide is only a 10 minute drive from Kensington, or around 15 or 20 minutes by bus. Regular buses (Routes 141 and 142) run down Kensington Rd. There are also buses from Norwood Parade. Free city loop trams are available within the city of Adelaide. Enjoy our fabulous Central Market or head to Rundle Street for shopping. For the more active, it's possible to cycle into the city avoiding the major roads in about 25 minutes. *No smoking or burning of incense inside the property please *The nightly rate for one or two guests is the same *Long stays can be arranged *Not suitable for children or pets. There is safe parking available on the street. Usually you can park right outside the apartment. The entrance to your suite is through a common lobby. Once inside, everything is provided for your comfort and privacy. Ask me about the many places to visit around Adelaide: from the markets to the museum, art gallery and zoo to the beaches, wine areas and hills. I am a keen mountain bike rider and walker and can point you towards the trails where you will see koalas and kangaroos.
