Terrace on Chianti of Pisa Volterra

Come to one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany and stay in an historic hill-top village in the idyllic Tuscan countryside. My home is located a few kilometres south of the castle town of Lari and from here you can explore other nearby ancient towns and villages on foot or in the car. It is also easy to take day trips to the more familiar cities and towns of Pisa (25 km), Florence (68 km), Lucca (45 km), Livorno (40), Volterra (40km) and San Gimignano(51km). In my village of Casciana Alta you can escape from the crowds and share in village life. Next door there is a good small grocer for supplies of bread, milk, cheeses, vegetables, meat and local wine, as well as many other grocery products. There is a bank with an ATM, a coffee shop and a Pizzeria. It is easy to park just 150m from the house. Our beautiful old church can be seen from the house and you will hear the tolling of the bells. We have a terrace on which you can relax and take in the beautiful view. You will see other hill-towns in the distance, including Volterra, and green valleys flanked with woods and Cyprus trees, which are such a classic part of Tuscany. You may even hear the nightingale singing through the night. You can share the kitchen, and prepare your meals between 07:00 and 09:00 and between 19:00 and 20:00 hrs. There are two rooms available if you come with friends or family, where there is room for four people. New : You may use a Telescope Celestron C90 to admire moon and sky from the terrace. Pay attention: the room is on second floor: I can Help you with your luggage! I can invite you and a friend, two persons in a blue romantica sealike room, I can join a bed if absolutely necessary for some nights... You may use the bathroom we share and clean everyday... and of course kitchen and terrace I will be present very often because I live at home with my family... so if you need you can ask advices to know better tips about your trip the landscape and the old people of my village, they seem to have a philosophy of life we should all of us remember. Slow life and happy tasteful funny thoughts. of course there are public bus with timetable on line, but take it easy: they pass through the village quite seldom. from monday till saturday on summertime you have a public bus that will take you to the nearest train station in round one hour 8.52/9.47..... when you want to come back home dont miss the last bus: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) .... There is a public parking nearby, for free and quite safe. If your rented car has a navigator is quite easy to join us!
