Welcome to Moonrock! Our beautiful waterfront, four season cottage is a 10 minutes from the 400 and just 2 hours from the GTA. A quick two minute drive to Bala for the shops, The Kee, restaurants and local winery. Close to trails for hiking and snowmobiling or relax on the dock or deck. 15 minutes to Port Carling 20 minutes to Gravenhurst 25 minutes to Bracebridge Come enjoy a beautiful summer or winter getaway in the Muskoka's with just your personal belongings. IG: moonrock_cottage Moon Rock has three bedrooms including a large master bedroom complete with King size bed. Each bedroom includes fresh linens, towels and duvets. The space provides 1 1/2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also BBQ provided. Enjoy the large living space. Curl up by the fireplace or watch the 60 inch TV with Chromecast to watch your favourite shows. There's lots of space for everyone! Puzzles and board games are available at the cottage but bring your favourites for great nights of gaming with family and friends. If you prefer, a Wii system is also provided for the more electronically inclined. The waterfront is a highlight and is very accessible, just steps away with only 3 wide stairs to the dock and water. There is also lots of space for chairs, a picnic or an evening fire at the fire pit. The shallow water is also great for all ages and gradually gets deeper for those who like to swim. Canoe and two paddle boards are also provided, including lifejackets. In the evening, enjoy a coffee on the large deck and watch the stars or enjoy the frequent local wildlife. Our waterfront is frequented by a family of beavers and we often see loons. Whole cottage We can be quickly reached through Airbnb messages or through text and phone. The Moon river is a special place with stunning views and magnificent waterways to explore. Musts are checking out Don's bakery. We recommend the apple fritters and cinnamon buns. For some scenic views, the Bala Falls are stunning and some great hiking at Hardy Lake Trails. There is no public transportation in the area but the town centre is only a 20 minute canoe paddle away! Alternatively, you can drive to the same area in 4 minutes. The waterfront is equipped with a dock, as well as a canoe and two paddle boards for guest use. These are available from June to October. In the winter, there is access to five sets of snow shoes to explore the area.
