Riverside cottage

A self contained, detached building in its own grounds with a lovely pond, built in BBQ and seating areas with outside lighting. The entrance is along the tow path of the Kennet and Avon canal which is a 5 min walk into the town centre which has cafes, bars, restaurants and shops as well as many things to see and do. We are a stones throw from the leisure centre which includes gym, courts and swimming pools indoor and outdoor. There are also some lovely scenic walks along the canal towpath. Guests have exclusive use of the tiny house and its grounds, they are able to access the towpath from their own, private entrance which is along the canal. In the summer guests can enjoy the built-in barbecue as well as the outdoor seating. The property has three sleeping spaces. One double bedroom, one upstairs sleeping-snug which is up steep, ladder style steps (pictured) and one double sofa bed in the living area. One guest described the property as “like a caravan, but cuter” and we think this sums it up! Guests can use the tiny house and it’s grounds and are also welcome to use our parking space for 1 car at the front of our house. I am available to contact on my mobile 24/7 and am more than happy to welcome guests if I am around. You will receive instructions on the day of arrival for how to access the property. I’m happy to give suggestions for places to go and things to see in and around our town. The property is situated in the garden of a long road of Victorian houses. There is a leisure centre and beautiful parklands very close by. If you are a walker there are a number of medium to long walks which take you along the canal and through the moors. The town centre is a stroll along the towpath and has everything you need. Newbury Train Station is within walking distance and there are good bus routes through Newbury and beyond. Taxis are prompt and reliable.
