“Theeporto” Maisonette with pool,Heraklion, Crete

Located in the village of Gouves, "Theeporto" is a luxurious maisonette with two balconies, a private swimming pool and a beautiful patio, just a few kilometres from Heraklion and the airport. It is fully air-conditioned, with a spacious living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms(1upstairs-1downstairs).Guests may also use the bbq area and sunbathe beside the pool. It is a sunny and cosy house, perfect for families with children and teens, to enjoy their vacation in. This is the ideal space to unwind, away from the noise and the crowds of the city. Located in a quiet neighbourhood in Gouves, it provides privacy and serenity, without being too far away from everything. In fact, while enjoying a stroll in the picturesque village streets you will discover taverns, coffee shops, a bakery and a mini market are all in walking distance, as is the village church, an example of Eastern Orthodox church architecture. All of the facilities are available to you for the duration of your stay. Guests may enjoy their coffee or drink by the pool while rocking on the porch swing, they can sunbathe or swim in the pool. The whole family can come together and barbeque their meals. The high stone fences ensure that no one will bother you or disturb your privacy while on the premises. When you arrive at the house, you will find us expecting you, to hand you the keys and show you around. We will explain everything about the house and answer any questions you might have. The maisonette is located in a quiet neighbourhood in Gouves, only 500 metres from the main village square where the taverns and the bakery are located while a mini market and a hair salon are within walking distance (2 min). The nearest beach is 2-3 km from the premises. But once you are on the road, you can choose among dozens of beautiful beaches waiting for you to explore if you are willing to drive (or take the bus) there. Heraklion, the major city in our area, where you can visit Knossos and many other historical sights, as well as museums, is a 15 minutes drive. Also, Hersonissos and Mallia, where you will find intense nightlife are a 15-20 minutes drive. Getting around If you decide to rent a car, you should know that there is a parking space by the house. Otherwise, you should know that there are frequent bus lines, connecting the village to Heraklion, the airport, local beaches and other sights. The bus stop is about 1 km away from the house. The bus stop from the airport and from Iraklion is about 1Km from the maisonette. If you have a car we have our parking area beside the house. GREAT FOR FAMILIES: Theeporto is a great place for your family to bond, spend time together and enjoy your holiday! It is suitable for most age ranges, but please note that there are stairs on the premises, as well as bunk beds, not suitable for very young children or toddlers (6+). If there is a baby in the family, please let us know and we will be able to provide you with a high chair, a crib and more. — Jump in the pool, sunbathe on the porch, rock the children on the patio swing. — Make your meals on the barbeque. — Watch a movie, come together, hang out at the roomy and cosy living space. — Show your children the stars that are easily and clearly viewed at night And when you ‘re ready to leave the house and explore the area, it is just a 15-minute drive to Heraklion and a 20-minute drive to Hersonissos. FOR GROUPS OF FRIENDS: Theeporto sleeps 6 people, making it ideal to host a group of friends! — Grill, drink, watch sports, sunbathe or just hang out. We got you covered - as long as you keep the volume down! Please note that parties and other events are not allowed on the premises. If you really need to party, it is just a 15-minute drive to Heraklion and a 20-minute drive Hersonissos, where the night is never over! THE KITCHEN: Food is a huge deal when getting together. All you need to bring is your own food. — Oven — Comes completely stocked with cooking needs, including pots, pans, serving dishes, platters, cookie trays and more. — Enough Forks/Spoons/Knives/Plates for everyone in the family. — Coffee pot, including coffee filters and coffee beans. Enjoy an early morning sunrise with fresh coffee on the front porch chairs and swing (a family favourite). — Outdoor propane grill, complete with a full tank of propane. — Includes plenty of paper towels, sponges, wipes, and various other kitchen utensils.
