Pond access, clear sandy beach and gravel boat ramp are all within walking distance. There are ATV trails that are accessible from the cabin. And many other ponds/lakes to fish or boat on nearby. Cabin in the Pines, is located in an area which offers many places that would make wonderful day trips. Or you can enjoy your time exploring on Upper Lead Mtn. Pond. Spend an afternoon or evening relaxing on the screened in porch. Sit at the picnic table while enjoying a meal cooked on the grill. A fire in the fire pit makes a perfect ending to any day. Entire cabin is available Guests can always contact me through the Airbnb app. Cabin in the Pines is located in a small community of seasonal camps around Upper Lead Mtn. Pond. From the cabin you can drive around Upperlead Mtn. Pond or to other locations such as: Calais, Cherryfield, Brewer, Bangor, Ellsworth, or along the coast to Acadia National Park. The Canadian border is about 1 hr. from the cabin, using Rte. 9E. There are many ATV trails and many ponds/lakes to fish or boat on nearby. Wild Blueberry Land: World’s Largest Blueberry, is a small theme park dedicated to the official fruit of Maine. It is just off Rte. 1 in Columbia Hills (Website hidden by Airbnb) Several wineries and farms are also nearby. Cole Land Transportation Museum and Bangor International Airport are less than an hour away. I follow Airbnb’s five step enhanced cleaning process. I provide extra cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting supplies that you can use during your stay. You must go down 2 miles once you are on the camp road. There is an outdoor picnic table, hammock, and a gas grill available. There are also several water noodles located on the porch. 2 kayaks and 2 adult life vests come with the rental. The cabin bathroom inside, consists of a sink with a mirror and a shower, the toilet is outside in the Privy. There are propane lights inside, the lighters for them are hanging by the kitchen window. A generator when needed, runs the window fan, 4 outlets, well pump, and hot water, comes with a full tank of gas. You will need to run the generator for extended usage such as showers and dish washing. The generator will run about 8 hrs on a full tank. You can purchase more gas at the Airline Snack Bar, up on Rte. 9 on the left just past the camp road. They also have washers and dryers that are $2 per load. Motion lights and solar lights lead to the privy and generator. There are no motorcycles allowed on the camp road. A Maine fishing license is required for anyone 16 years of age or older. You can purchase one on line at (Website hidden by Airbnb) *** The nearest grocery stores are: - P&J Grocery on Rte.9 E toward Wesley 19 miles. - C H Mathews on Rte. 193 S in Cherryfield, 24 miles. - Paradis Shop & Save on Rte. 9 in Brewer is about 40 miles away.
