It can accommodate up to four, but we suggest it's better suited for couples. On board, you will find a cosy double bed over the cab, with bedding included. The kitchen includes a kettle and tea/coffee area with fridge/freezer underneath, washing up sink with hot/cold water supply, a double induction hob with an oven underneath and we supply all the pots, pans, crockery & cutlery you need. In the living area, there is a day bed with trundle, that can be used as a sofa during the day and pulled out at night to form a large double bed or two singles. Opposite the kitchen area is a small en-suite that contains a flushing toilet, sink and electric shower. Please note, towels are not included. Two sets of french doors let in lots of light during the day and there are plenty of uplights throughout for nighttime. Outside, you have a large area to relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the picnic table and firepit. On the other side of the lorry, we have attached an awning that can be used to store bikes, surfboards etc, or to dry wet items. Please do not dry items inside the lorry, we have provided a clothes rail and hangers in the awning for this purpose. The Site: The Retreat is situated on our small woodland campsite, Little Welsh Wood, set amongst ancient beech trees. First opened in May 2021, we have three glamping units and seven camping pitches, spread throughout the woodland. We have converted our cattle yard, cowshed and small woodland beyond to form our campsite. We are still a small working farm, along with many of our neighbours. Expect the sights and smells of woodland camping, with the odd ‘Moooo’ thrown in! As part of our licensing rules, we are a greener site and encourage sustainable & low-impact camping. We have a quiet talking policy between 10.30pm - 7.30am; amplified music & generators are not permitted and noisy guests will be asked to leave - we are a quiet campsite for the enjoyment of nature. The Location: We are perfectly located for exploring southwest Pembrokeshire and the Dale peninsular. Whilst the campsite is in a rural area, we are only 3 miles away from the nearest town of Milford Haven, where you can visit many eateries as well as stock up on groceries, fuel etc. We are less than 5 miles away from the picturesque Little Haven and Broad Haven and 15 minutes from the fabulous Skomer Island - a must on your trip to Pembrokeshire in the summer months to see the Puffin and Seal colony. Wherever you are going, just let us know and we’ll give you recommendations! Additional info: • Well behaved dogs are welcome (Max 2), but must be kept on a lead while on site. Dogs are charged at £10 per stay/per dog. They must be kept in crates (preferably in the awning) and are not allowed on the soft furnishings. If we find there has been damage by your dogs after your stay, an additional surcharge will apply. Please be mindful that this is not a permanent/solid structure and that you are still camping at the end of the day, which has its associated factors - noises, smells, bugs etc! Please read through our house rules before booking, we're happy to answer any questions you may have. Guest arrivals are between 3pm and 8pm. We will be on hand to welcome you and help with luggage. No vehicles are allowed onto the field/woodland area but wheelbarrows are provided to help carry luggage between the car park and the Retreat. The Retreat is set at the edge of our ancient beech tree woodland, overlooking an open meadow - known as 'The Lawns'. It is one of three glamping units that form part of our newly opened campsite 'Little Welsh Wood', along with seven camping pitches dotted around the woodland. *** Please don't be alarmed if you see Puma Refinery on the map next to the campsite - this was dismantled years ago and there is nothing to blight the landscape *** Little Welsh Wood will appeal to those who want to enjoy the simple delights of camping in the countryside and is perfect for walking and bird-watching (it's amazing to watch red kite soaring overhead!) or just to sit and relax away from the hubbub of everyday life. The campsite is great for children and we accept well-behaved dogs. Please ensure you arrive between 3pm and 8pm. Sorry, no early/late arrivals. If the retreat is booked or there are more than 2 in your party, why not try our 'Lawn View Bell Tent' or 'Oak Corner Geodome' listed on Airbinb. We really look forward to welcoming you this summer!
