A wonderful and stylish retreat with walkability to local amenities and less than half a mile to the train which takes you into the city. The neighborhood park, pool, and fitness center is just 3 blocks away, the neighborhood grocery store is 2 blocks, and the downtown area of Forest Park is less than a mile! Leave your car in the included parking space and enjoy local restaurants and shops or hop on the train to get into the city of Chicago! This garden unit is bright, spacious and thoughtfully designed. The living room offers plenty of seating, a smart tv, games, and books! The space is open to the dining room and office area. The king bedroom has a full closet and sits off of the main living space and a queen bedroom at the back offers a full closet and a large walk in closet with space for a pack n play or toddler bed (available upon request). The space is ideally set up for 4 guests, but with the walk in closet can accommodate a small child as well. The remodeled kitchen is FULLY STOCKED! All full sized appliances, everything you need to cook at home and plenty of room for your groceries in the pantry cabinet. We provide a toaster, blender, hand mixer, bowls, pots and pans and more! Just outside the back door is laundry and a place for shoes and coats. One parking space available for our guests to use as well. We tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable but we live close in case you need anything. Parking is available in the back of the building. You can walk or drive to parks, restaurants, shops and more! The train is less than half a mile from the property and you can get downtown Chicago easily on the Blue Line L. 2 blocks from the neighborhood grocery store, 3 blocks to park, pool, and fitness center! Walk to downtown Forest Park which is less than a mile away or hop on the train to go downtown Chicago! We love this accessible location which puts you minutes from downtown Oak Park and Forest Park and is located just outside the city of Chicago. Forest Park and Oak Park have charming vibes and friendly faces. Both communities host popular events including music, art, wine, and beer festivals. Take an Uber to the Farmers Market which is hosted in Oak Park every Saturday from 7:30am-1:30pm from May 22nd through October (Tip: Get there in the morning to enjoy fresh, homemade donuts). Please note, the unit is suitable for 4 guests plus one small child. Let us know if you need a toddler bed or pack n play which we can provide upon request.
