It’s been operating as an Airbnb for years and now under new ownership. Join the many guests that have enjoyed the privacy of this cabin and beauty of Almost Heaven West Virginia. Surrounded by national forest and close to Snowshoe Mountain with hiking, biking, skiing etc. Stay in Natures Mountain Playground! The cabin is spacious with a private entrance for guests. Beautiful decks surround both sides of the building. Hot tub and picnic table on backyard deck. The basement apartment is occupied by the owner. Just a few miles from trail access for hiking and mountain biking. 13 miles to Snowshoe Mountain Resort for the best skiing and snowboarding in the Mid-Atlantic region. Also known for world class downhill mountain biking. Guests are asked to park on the left side of parking area. Private guest entrance to the cabin. The downstairs apartment and maintenance shed above the property are the only areas that are off limits to guests. Please ask for firewood and do not attempt to restock from main pile to guest firewood storage located next to guest entrance. Here to help with any questions or concerns. Isolated on a private driveway and nestled in lush forest of the Monongahela, this cabin is the perfect location for those looking to enjoy the outdoors. Trail access just 1 mile away at the Mine Rd. 8 miles to one of the states best kept secrets, the Scenic Highway. Excellent trout fishing on the Elk River headwaters just 1.5 miles from cabin located below the Beckwith Lumber Company. Snowshoe Mountain Resort has long been the main attraction in this area for skiing, snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, live music events and much more. The resort hosts lots of fun events throughout the year and the cabin is a great location to base your trip to the resort. Guests will need to have a reliable 4WD/AWD vehicle to travel to and from the cabin. 4WD is only required during the winter months. No taxis, Uber or similar services available in this area. 4WD/AWD vehicles only in the winter months! Winter tires recommended. The driveway is steep and requires appropriate vehicles only for safe driving. No exceptions! Guests without appropriate vehicles will be asked to park at the very bottom of the long driveway if necessary. Please let me know if you plan to bring more than two vehicles. Parking is limited.
