Enjoy the beauty of the Kentucky woodlands from the comfort of a cozy cabin perched on a ridge. Go hiking, swimming, and climbing in the nearby Red River Gorge Geological area. Take in the view from the balcony and snuggle around the fire at night. Surrounded by trees and hills, Elderberry is secluded and peaceful with short walks available right off the property. You'd never guess that grocery stores, restaurants, a park, shops, and other amenities are located only 2 miles away in Stanton. Rustic, cozy, and peaceful, this little cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. Cuddle up in bed and listen to the cicadas sing you to sleep. Wake up in the morning to a beautiful view without even leaving the comfort of your bed. Double glass doors open from the bedroom onto the balcony where you can sip coffee and plan your day's adventures. A fully equipped kitchen provides the opportunity to cook a hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The downstairs area includes a dining table where you can enjoy your food or spend an evening playing board games. A comfy sofa faces the large windows in the lounge area, framing our woodland view. Switch on the wood-burning stove and curl up with a good book. The stairs lead up to the large bedroom that has a desk tucked away in a corner if you need a space to work, write, or create art. Elderberry cabin has a deck that wraps around three sides downstairs, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view and watch for wildlife. You will see lots of birds and squirrels and maybe even some deer or a coyote. A fire pit and electric grill are available to take advantage of on beautiful days. The entirety of Elderberry Cabin and the outdoor fire pit area is solely for guest use. We live just down the hill from Elderberry and are only a call away if anything needs our attention. Elderberry's driveway comes off of Morton Hollow road which gets very little traffic as it is a dead end road. Perfect for an out and back stroll. Pets are welcome. We charge a one-time fee of $30 for each pet that you bring with you. Please Note: While we do list Wi-Fi as an amenity, the cabin is located in a rural area and the internet connection is often not as reliable as you may be accustomed to.
