A Cosy, Rural hideway with far reaching views
'The Hive' is a beautifully appointed and recently refurbished two bedroom log cabin in a quiet rural setting with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills. It is a fully equipped self catering property with many additional extras giving a cosy cottage ambience. Dogs and all children are most welcome and are well catered for. It is for the sole use of our guests, has a separate entrance, off road parking and a small secure private garden. Welcome to 'The Hive', our beautifully appointed and recently refurbished two bedroom cabin. Situated in the tiny hamlet of Hadley Heath, which boasts a few houses and an outstanding village pub with a 16th Century Crown Bowling Green attached. The pub which is in walking distance, is both dog and child friendly and serves delicious food. 'The Hive' is cited at the back of our property in a quiet rural setting with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills from the South facing decking. It is for the sole use of our guests, has a separate entrance, off road parking and a small secure private garden. Dogs (a small charge) and all children are most welcome and well catered for (2 high chairs, travel cot, baby bath, changing mat, potty, child loo seat, plastic plates, mugs, children's cutlery are all available). There are numerous dog walks directly off site using a network of footpaths, bridle ways and country lanes, maps provided. Outside tap with hose for those muddy paws. 'The Hive' is a fully equipped self catering property with many extras. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar, alongside a freshly baked loaf with butter and Worcestershire honey will welcome you on arrival. It has a cosy cottage ambience. 'The Hive' forms part of our property which we share with our 4 dogs, 2 horses and a Shetland Pony. Our daughter Anna and son-in-law Callum ( my co-host) live next door with their 2 year old twin boys so there is usually someone on site to offer help or answer any queries. But other than that we will very much leave you to enjoy your stay. Rooms and contents: Entrance hall with coat hooks and "dog extras". Bedroom One - double bed, wardrobe, bedside drawers, TV and night storage heater. Bedroom Two - bunkbeds fitted with quality sprung mattresses, chest of drawers and hanging space. Bathroom - with good sized shower, vanity basin and Toilet. Electric shaver point and heated towel rail. Open plan kitchen and living/dining area - fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Large sofa bed sleeping two more guests if required, TV and DVD, night storage heater and ceiling fan. An electric smoke effect fire for cosy nights in. Dining table and chairs and separate seating area. Outside - the decking has a rocking chair to watch the sunsets, a couple of reclining chairs with a picnic table with benches in the garden. There is a gas BBQ available on request. Easy access from the North off Jct 5 and also from the South at Jct 6of the M5. Parking is off the road and there is enough room for atleast 2 cars. We are usually on site to offer help or answer queries. Our daughter Anna and Son-in-law Callum (listing co-host) live next door and will be happy to help should you require assistance. The aforementioned 'The Hadley Bowling Green' In Ombersley Village 'The Crown & Sandys', 'The Kings Arms', 'The Venture Inn' (In the Michelin Guide). 'Checketts of Ombersley' founded over 100 years ago and now a "destination" shop and deli, a great place for coffee and cake. In Cutnall Green the award winning 'Entouraj' Indian Restaurant. There are many and varied local attractions for trips out, some ideas listed below: - Churchfields and Droitwich Salt - Ice Cream, Play Area and Adventure Trails - The Malvern Hills - Fabulous walking and scenery - West Midland Safari Park - Severn Valley Railway - Steam Train journeys - The Ancient Wyre Forest Country Park - Cycling Trails, GoApe - Hanbury Hall National Trust - Witley Court - Hartlebury Castle - Jinny Ring Craft Centre - The Lido Park in Droitwich - Open air salt water swimming pool - Avoncroft Musuem - Old restored buildings - Upon Warren water sports - Little Owl Farm Park - Childrens farm and play area - Webbs of Wychbold - Garden Centre with many extras - Royal Worcester Porcelain Musuem - Worcester Cathedral - Worcester Races As 'The Hive' is situated in a rural location, a car is needed to get around. Off road parking is available for 2-3 vehicles. Building Work - We are planning short term building work on our property from September. This is completely separate from 'The Hive' and should cause minimal disruption. Private Garden - Please note that the area surrounding 'The Hive' is secure when all the gates are closed, should you wish your dogs to be loose when you are out in the garden .
