Romantic cosy cottage for two
Little Barn is a pretty little stone barn set within our courtyard of traditional stone farm buildings. Converted a few years ago into a cosy one bedroom and bathroom cottage, it oozes charm and character retaining the original beams in the bedroom. Perfectly placed in the South Hams for exploring the coast and moor it's the ideal bolt hole no matter what the weather. Enjoy your own private space after exploring the beautiful South Hams. Little Barn is warm and cosy in the winter and perfect for walking enthusiasts as well as beach lovers. Our tennis court is available to share with our other converted barn on Airbnb, The Hayloft. If there are four of you why not book both properties! The layout is simple and the kitchen stocked with the basics (oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer). There is no microwave or dishwasher. Guests park in the carport as you drive in on the right hand side. We live across the courtyard and are available to answer any questions but tend to leave guests to themselves unless they need us. We are only a couple of miles from the beautiful south west coastal foot path and Mothecombe beach. If you are more inclined to stay inland, we are only 20 minutes from the rugged beauty of Dartmoor. There are plenty of pretty Devon villages to explore and retail therapy at Salcombe, Dartmouth, Kingsbury and Plymouth are only half an hour away. Our local village Yealmpton, has a Ben's farm shop and nearby Newton Ferrers has a small CoOp which has all the basics. You will need a car to visit us as we are a 1.5 mile drive to the nearest village. Guests are welcome to use the tennis court when it is available. We do not provide any fresh produce so please bring your own milk/breakfast ingredients. We do have salt, pepper, olive oil and seasonings as well as a variety of teas and coffees. We have a strict no smoking policy inside and outside the property.
