The Cwtch Cwt (Cuddle Hut) mountain top retreat

This is our brand new bespoke shepherds hut which is super cosy with its wood burning stove. You’ll have uninterrupted views across the Brecon Beacons to Pen-y-Fan and if you’re lucky you’ll be treated to the best sunset you have ever seen but because of our location which is 1.5 miles up through the woods to the top of the mountain we advise you keep an eye on the weather conditions in winter months as the road is impassable by car if it’s icy or snowy The Cwtch Cwt has been designed by us to make the perfect little space to chill out in . The double bed folds up into the wall to create a table and benches to maximise the space . The kitchenette has a combination microwave and a double electric hob but no oven . It has an under counter fridge which has a small freezer. There is a shower room at the end . The wood burning stove creates a really cosy atmosphere and we supply wood etc but if you prefer not to use it you have an electric heater. You are separate to our home so is very private but we are only next door should you need anything. There is secure off road parking directly outside the hut . You have your own private access and entrance We keep ourselves separate for your privacy but we are only next door should you need anything We are about 20 minutes away from Newport and 35/40 minutes into Cardiff. You can see the Brecon Beacons from your window and it’s about a 45 minute drive to the Waterfall walks . Caerleon and the Big pit are not far away either so even though you feel very remote here everything Including supermarkets are nearby. We are literally on the top of a mountain so ideally you’ll need transport . The nearest train station is Cross Keys and is about 3 miles away . I provide breakfast basics . Tea, coffee, sugar , Eggs from my hens , biscuits ,bread, butter, jam, marmalade , cereals and milk .
