Don's Room, named after Mary Lyn's dad, is a spacious 600 sq. ft room with a king size Tempur-Pedic bed, window seat, 3D TV & DVR, toddler bed and/or twin bed, large walk-in closet, and beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Journey’s End is ideally situated in the heart of the Rockies for a quiet getaway yet close to all the wonderful adventures this area offers. We are a ‘Certified Wildlife Habitat’ and have several lovely walking trails on our 35 acres as well. Vet owned/operated. Guests in Don's will have access to a spacious bathroom with double vanity, jacuzzi tub, and spacious separate stand-up shower. Guests have access to a complementary single serve coffee maker and tea pot with all the fixings, as well as a basket with fresh fruit and other goodies. There is a large flat screen 3D TV with DVD player and viewing area also in Don's room. We also have a large selection of books and videos available. Guests will also have access to a large morning or gathering room downstairs with beautiful sunsets each afternoon. There is also a large deck where one can lounge or enjoy a meal or just relax in the hot tub. This is our home, and one of us will be here at all times. Please ask if you require assistance or just want to chat. We are located on 35 acres on a private road. Our nearest neighbors are the deer, wild turkey, chipmunks, squirrels, and other wildlife that can be seen all over the Rocky Mountains. All homes in our area are on large private lots. Our land lies astride Mueller State Park. Parking is immediately beside and in front of our home. All wheel or 4 wheel drive is recommended in the winter; this is the Rockies after all! Our home is off the beaten path, which is a large part of its charm. But we have never lost a guest yet! Our directions are good, but if you have difficulty, please do not hesitate to give us a shout, and we will be more than happy to guide you in. We love our pets. If you intend to bring your fur baby, please note that we require prior approval and a $20 per night surcharge. Dogs over 20 lbs. will be required to sleep in our heated / air conditioned and comfortable mudroom. An extra cleaning fee may be required for major accidents. Edit
