Spacious beautiful house in safe, quiet neighborhood , forest retreat yet convenient to everything, 1 mile to restaurants , grocery stores and UGA Vet School. Three miles to campus and downtown Athens. Hiking trails within walking distance. Booking Murphys Retreat 2 gives guest an inexpensive safe and clean haven. Not an entire house, but a self sufficient bedroom/ Private attached sitting room , private bathroom. Room includes frig, coffee maker, microwave. Sofa bed , tables. $10 pet fee MURPHYS RETREAT 2 Clean, beautiful, and eclectic home, surrounded by natural beauty , yet close and convenient to shopping, UGA, restaurants and more. Guest booking at Murphy’s Retreat 2 will get a large private bedroom and their own private living room on the main floor and private bathroom. The room looks out onto a wooded fenced backyard and has an attached large living room with dining table and lots of room to move about. Your room has a Queen bed and a sofa bed . Your private sitting room has a large sofa comfortable for extra sleeping and a coffee maker, frig, toaster, microwave and utensils . The well appointed Suite, sleeps up to 3 adults, for an an additional charge of $10.00 for over 2 guests for this suite . On booking this private Suite / large private sitting room with 2 sofa’s and a door to outside back yard and deck. The bathroom for this private suite area is a short trek thru the kitchen. A coffee maker, toaster , microwave , utensils , and other amenities are available in your room for light meal prep. The large wooded backyard has a grill with tables and many spots for enjoying the outdoors in privacy . Hiking trails to the river close bye and walking distance to restaurants and grocery store( only 1 mile to shopping and many restaurants on the east side ) only 5 miles to DT Athens. To look up all the restaurants and shopping on the east side near our house, look at Gaines School Rd. The host has been in the hospitality industry in Athens and UGA for many years and can give visitors great recommendations for restaurants, things to do in Athens and other useful information. Due to COVID we are working on making our Airbnb to guest more self contained for privacy for guest and host, but we enjoy interactions with guest and highly encourage vaccinated guests. Due to Covid , wearing a face mask is recommended while using the kitchen and around other guest if they request this. Covid cleaning is extremely thorough, we keep our spaces extra clean. Lots of cleaning products and sanitizers are available to guest . We are not the Ritz Carlton but according to all previous guest, we are the safest, cleanest , nicest Airbnb for the value and as some say the best Airbnb they have ever stayed at. Due to COVID , our large kitchen use is limited, but can be used by guest if they are only preparing small meals, the suite is self sufficient with most needed items to do light food prep also. Mask are recommended, especially during kitchen use. Our back deck has a grill and great for social distancing and enjoying. Free convenient PARKING in our driveway. Check in as after 3pm and checkout is at 12 noon. We will be available to help guest in any way we can , the host is a past concierge with great recommendations on outdoor activities, restaurant and special event information on the Athens area and in other surrounding communities. We have tons of books, brochures and info on enjoying the area, as well as hiking trails around our house. We can chat, share ideas on Athens etc and relax by spacial distancing in our beautiful back yard and deck. The house and yard are very large and there are many places to enjoy your serenity and privacy. A Beautiful tree lined quiet and safe neighborhood , looks like a mountain retreat with trails along the river and creek close bye. Close to restaurants , shopping, public transportation and UGA campus. Very warm and inviting space, no one will be disappointed in their stay. Kept very clean too. Walking distance to Kroger grocery store , shopping and east side restaurants, 1 mile trek or short drive. A few minutes to east side shopping and 4 miles to downtown Athens and 5pts.. Easy 3 mile drive to UGA campus with the Athens and UGA bus line from our house if you prefer public transportation. Many guest use Uber to go to downtown around $6. Free spacious parking in the drive, 1 car per guest , any extra vehicles will have to park on the street. The host live in the house and are very flexible about arrival times, coming and going of guest as they enjoy Athens. Any questions or concerns from guest will be addressed and resolved to help make guest feel comfortable and safe at all times. We have maps, lots of helpful information area info. A guest bike is available at no charge .
