Sint Willibrordus is a small, quiet village and is surrounded by 4 beautiful natural beaches, historical salt pans and impressive nature. The neighborhood has an important historical landmark Landhuis Jan Kok, a very beautiful huge church in neogothic style from 1888 and also a wellknown pub Williwood where they serve awesome burgers made of goat meat. Jan Kok Landmark: Currently, international famous painter Nena Sanchez's art pieces are exhibited here in a rather unique environment overlooking the saltpans. The landmark used to manage the saltpans, which was the most important reason of the Dutch West Indies Company establishing in Curacao and Bonaire. Nowadays the saltpans are the home of flamingo's!Now you can get to see this was by walking along the salt pans (2 min walk from your room!), where you can take photos and learn some from our beautiful history. Beaches: Feeling the urge to have a dive / swim / snorkel? Within a 5-10 min drive you'll be at the some of the most popular natural beaches of the island, Porto Marie / Cas Abou / Daaibooibaai and Coral Estate. Most of them have diving course facilities. All of these beaches have possibilities to have wonderful breakfast, lunch/dinner or just some tasty snacks for your cravings! However it is advisable to rent a car to get the most out of your vacation! We are willing to assist you in this matter. Of course you could consider to take a taxi but this is quite costly! We like to inform our guests that electricity is not included in the daily rate. (water is free!!) The used electricity will be charged based on the really used Kw during the guests stay and calculated using the website of the electricity provider. (that's fair) There is an electricity meter that indicates clearly the used electricity. Indication: between: 1 and 3 $ per day depending usage of air conditioning. Also we need to inform you that we have to charge the mandatory local tax of 7 percent since airbnb does not collect this upfront from the guests. If there are more than two guests we charge $ 5 extra per person per night.
