Camp Life #2

Rustic retreat on beautiful camp. Private room with lock and key, in a camp dormitory. Basic amenities include a private bedroom, twin bed, linens, and towel. Shared spaces include bathroom/showers that are lockable during use and a shared kitchen. We have a friendly environment, a caretaker lives on the grounds, and normally there are less than 6 total guests lodging at any time other than groups who may stay in a separate building. There is free WiFi access for guests. Our lodging is somewhat like a Hostel as guests share a kitchen, sitting area and bathrooms (which have locks). You would have your own bedroom with a lock & key. There may be other lodgers staying in separate rooms. A staff member may meet you briefly within your first 24 hours. Everyone understands to keep community spaces clean and give people privacy. We are a Christian camp and have a caretaker also living on property. There is a young woman that does cleaning and will ensure that everything is set before you arrive. We try to be an affordable stopping spot for visitors to our area and would be happy to have you. You will have access to a kitchen (may be shared). You are welcome to explore our beautiful camp property, a great place for a stroll. Sitting areas along stream, pavilions and fire ring. AdventureServe is a missions and wilderness program We welcome guests for all purposes on our camp property. Our offices are located on the far side of camp from the dormitories. Staff are typically in the office M-F 9-5. We will have things set up for Self-Check-In but we try to stop in and say hello at least once during your visit. This is a beautiful area! Great places to visit nearby like Wilmore, Asbury University & Seminary, High Bridge Park, Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park, and much more! Tell the host what types of things you're interested in and he'll point you in the right direction! We have plenty of parking and are 3 or 4 blocks from the heart of Wilmore where you can find a university, restaurants, dollar store and small grocery. Unfortunately public transportation is not too accessible, not even Uber from here. The kitchen is fully set with everything you would need to cook and prepare meals. The host responds quickly to messages. The host normally lets guest know how many other guests are lodging during their visit.
